well, the Avs had to get well on somebody. A tired team missing a laundry list of key players may be just the thing!
-
Joey Mac looks so big in goal... he's 6' and 195, but he looks bigger to me. When is the last time Homer (-3 tonight) score a goal?
-
Joey Mac keepin' em in it... let's hope the Wings' arms are not too tired to shoot a couple of pucks at Budaj tonight. Much more likely to score if they shoot at the Avs goalie.
-
Am I the only one who thinks Crosby's team mates all hate him, too?
-
hang in there! They are going to turn this around and win it for you!
-
Muskrat and Raffi, with duelng hairlines. Wings will come out strong in the 2nd, score right off the face off and then again next shift to tie it.
-
halfway there!! PK again...
-
There you go. Raffi to the rescue again. Only need two more and we're on the way to a W.
-
Sorry... it's going to be OK. The Wings will re-appear and win for you.
-
we're being outshot 11-4. Seems that the wings are not doing much work on either end.
-
I agree and so do Mick and Murph. As they said, the skaters should be embarrassed... Jimmy's fine. Just some nights, like this one, no one else shows up for work. Shame on you, Wings... now, WAKE UP!
-
Wings have got to be sharper than this, if they expect to win. Can't expect Jimmy to do everything out there... All we need is a goal (Homer, are you still a Wing or what?) and then it's a one goal game. Then tied it. Then win it. See. Easy?
-
red Lidstrom player t-shirt, here. I agree that the team looks tired, just a half-step behind, but that is enough for a desperate Avs team.
-
Wings are being outshot 7-3 More shooting, please, and less sitting in the box.
-
OK, I went and changed into a different Red Wing shirt. The other one was from the Canuck game, for luck. Maybe this one will work. I want a shorty!!
-
the fairy with the worst job reviews gets that job, I would say. Whoohooo!! Mursak with the equalizer. I didn't even have time to curse Budaj with the shut out curse.
-
aw... Kronner.
-
Love the energy... nice save, Jimmy!
-
Murph looks waaay too happy tonight. Must have good hot dogs in Denver.
-
Well, out of something bad, something good usually comes. Jimmy now has to prove his mettle (and I believe he will). I am OK with Joey Mac as back up. He will get about the same number of games Ozzie probably would have. We need Jimmy of the Canucks game to show up every game. I am kidding. I don't expect him to win alone or steal games. When we get everyone else back, it will be just fine. In the meanwhile, play hard, Wings... the league is going to be stalking you like a wounded wildebeest surrounded by a pack of hyenas. Surprise them (and me) and show them how determined you are.

And it's only Monday! We'd have to drag Mac along, too, to beat his head in, but that would be good fun. Perhaps we can get Mac to beat the living daylights out of Kostopukelos, too. Wings will want to roll home with a victory. I feel it. Wings 4, Avs less than 1. Go, Wings!!
-
Goalies in Detroit can't win good enough to suit some people. Of course, I am biased and love an athletic goalie. Fun to watch! No worries. Jimmy was brilliant. He can build on this confidence tonight. I have faith in him, and in the Wings to play as a team and win it.
-
Turnip hash, I like it. Our injury list makes me want to weep. But I am so impressed with our youngster, this will be a good game. Jimmy will need to be extra sharp again, but I think the Wings had a good rhythm going with him vs. Vancouver. Let's go, Red Wings!!!
-
Poor Ottawa. Always a bridesmaid, and now they're stuck with an ugly best man. Echoing others here, at least it will get Pee-air off the broadcasts. Now, someone find a front office job for Eddie O.

Good for you! Are your hands better than Helm's.. I hope??
