I do combos of leg curls (like the machine you posted), leg extensions on a machine like this one. I add one-legged presses on this type of machine - we have a couple of them. I mix in a lot of squat exercises, like, with a bar and weight on my shoulders. Sometimes we add kettlebell squats and lunges. I do Calf raises, on a seated calf machine or sometimes I just do standing calf-raises, body weight. The good ol' dead lifts and suitcase lifts with dumb-bells are a standby, too. My trainer is pretty creative. He comes up with leg work using cable machines that are just killer (good). Like most women, most of my strength is in my lower body. I can press 210 with both legs on the leg press. Can't do anything near that with bench press, needless to say. The glut-ham machine is great if for glutes and abs. If you have a strong lower back, the front extensions are about the best thing going. They are similar, back extensions on the hyper machine are harder than on the good old back extension like this one. But you can make the extensions harder on the 45 degree machine if you hold a plate against your chest. Are we having fun yet?

thanks, they're all posted less than 10 minutes ago. Shaking my hockey stick in their general direction... I guess 6 is better than no games - or a pat on the back. Puke forfeits $29569.92, to be precise. It doesn't take him as long as it does me to make that amount (like half a year or so), so I doubt he really cares. Perhaps if his absence causes hardship/losses to Calgary, they will not be so happy about such behavior. One can hope! Stuart was dumb for putting his head/jaw in the path of Kostpoulos' flying elbow, I guess.

the Frozen Moment image on NHL.com is a great still shot of Jimmy totally robbing the Onion Twin. I am at work, or I would capture and post it. hint...

so... one more try here: no news on suspension for Kosto-puke-os? Did they just blow off the hearing scheduled for today (reason: just a Red Wing, no biggie?) Re-scheduled said hearing? Gave the offender a raise and extension for his actions? Maybe some of you closer to the action have heard, there is nothing on google news search.

I thought there was supposed to be a hearing about this incident, this morning? Anyone know the outcome, or did it not happen? well played!!
-
Kostopoulos is too chicken to show up for an in person hearing, because he knows he was dead wrong and has no defense, here. I hope he's gets 20 games. While I agree with Titanium that it's TV and all about ratings, etc., TV is a great place to display one's biases and ignorance. Milbury is a total moron. If ANY other player on ANY other team was injured like Stu was by a puke like Kostopoulos, there would be severe consequences. The other guys bring up the mild concussion to "the best player on the planet" as if that's comparable to what happened to Stu. Whatever. As the other participants pointed out, there is no contrasting viewpoint. The rules are very clear, and video doesn't lie. But, oh, well. Since it's just a Red Wing who was hit blindside with an elbow, head-shot resulting in a broken jaw, Kostopoulos is the best tough guy since Vladdy? Did you see Stu's reaction when he was headed down to the locker room. He was so pissed. I would be, too. Get better soon, Stu.

Again, I am talking about on the ice, during the game, as the game was played -- no broken jaws, no fractured ankles, no broken wrists. One of them could fall in the shower or trip over the carpet in the plane or something, I suppose. That wouldn't have anything to do with the game. Lordy....
-
You know something or see something I didn't? Ozzie technically was our casualty tonight, I suppose, if you want to kind of reach for an injury. Otherwise, I didn't see anyone get hurt on the ice.
-
Special bonus tonight, no one got injured. Yay! Good game, wonderful to see the Wings rise to the occasion and look absolutely Wing-like. Lovely.
-
could have something to do with Brodeur being the bottom feeder of the entire league, stat-wise.
-
No more nonsense about Jimmy not starting. K? Just outstanding... and the Wings are pure steel and grit, in the face of losing so many guys long term. Awesome, Wing-like effort, who couldn't love this team? Besides their opponents, obviously. Should have been over in regulation, but for Luongo (or is that Louganis?) diving.
-
hell, I wanted Bert to de-jock Luongo.
-
Howard, cool as a cucumber out there.
-
Come on, guys, that was a great kill... now, just finish. Please?
-
Z really stepping up here tonight. I am impressed.
-
Canucks get away with several before the Wings get a penalty. Kill it, boyz!
-
could someone on the Wings please finish, so we can win this? I heard that, too.
-
Kronwall has more TOI so far tonight than Nick. Wish they would find some of those near-goals from the first 40, right now.
-
Jimmy, gorgeous glove save. Wow!! Score more, Wings... let's go!
-
beauty goal by MULE!! Edi, if you please???
-
Pens lost 0-4 to the Wild without Pube-stachio. Perhaps they've forgotten how to play, since they spend all their time on the ice feeding him the puck.
-
Gee, Wiz... what do you really think? You sound like me, now. It's amazing how blind and stupid people can be, for no reason, in this case. It is obvious that the hit on Stu was dirty, so to say otherwise makes the speaker foolish.
-
I wonder how the Wings are going to score without shooting at the net? Off the netting? Bounce off the boards? shutoutCloutiershutoutshutoutshutout!
-
Wish the Wings would finish on a couple of their bajillion chances... or posts.
-
were you here last night when there was a Canuck-troll in the GDT whining that the Detroit announcers were not mentioning the Canucks -- while we were playing the Flames?? Guess he's not around tonight since Ken can't stop talking about the Onion Twins.
