the best players and the ones who ought to be included in the category of All Star haven't been included in this mess for many years. If 90% of the television audience knew anything about hockey, they would realize what a sham the whole event is. It's marketing and hype, and that's all it is now. Won't be watching, and don't care who's there, honestly. If none of the Wings are included, I am fine with it. Bettman is more skilled at alienating true hockey fans than he knows. This is not the way to build interest in the league, not at all.

Howard wasn't the problem v. the Flyers. I am fine with him getting a chance with the team playing the way they played the last 20 minutes of that game in front of him, this time. Someone needs to address the lack of passion/interest from the team, and the suspect defense before the Western Canada swing.
