In other news, Brodeur got yanked for letting in 3 goals on 7 shots (NJ v. 'Canes). Hedberg's not much better, 2 on 7 SOG, middle of the 2nd period. LOL~ 5-2, Canes Ryan Miller let in 4 goals on 11 shots for a sparkling .636 average in the first period (Bruins v. Sabres end of first, 4-3) We would be hanging our goalies for such performances. Brodeur and Miller are lazy and they suck.

Love hydrangeas, but it's too hot here to grow them. Phlox doesn't fare much better. mice or rats?

I guess the only food resolution I made was no more bread/pasta. My fat cells like it way too much. I did hit the gym already today, starting off the year right. I threw out every bit of sweet and non-healthy food in my house today. Sigh. The person below me liked the movie, "WALL-e"

I thought Tatar was cute, flashing the Winged Wheel. What's wrong with that, unless you're talking to a Pen's fan? I miss the team having a bit of swagger and style. Yes, winning is wonderful, but so is letting the world know you think being a Wing is special - in an acceptable way, of course. I can't picture any of our guys being obnoxious, but I think it can go too far the other way. They downplay their excellence sometimes in an effort to "not win too big," as Hull used to say. Good for Tatertots and his first NHL goal. May it be the first of many for the Wings. He is clearly very proud of his alliance with the Wings, which works for me!

Unless the D steps up, that's probably true. Missing Lilja more than one would have thought, perhaps. This is not rational, it's factual information. Therefore, it won't make any difference to those who are biased one way or the other re: goalies.
