I hear you. Too much sitting and drinking and eating with people who do not exercise. I hit the gym tonight, and plan to every day going forward. My trainer was reassuring and said if you never have any fun, what's the point? I will get back on track now. So will you, Jenny. I am going to try giving up wheat/bread for a while, and see what happens. It doesn't seem to agree with my metabolism.

This shouldn't surprise you around here, Boost. I think they might respect Ozzie's number for a long time, and no one else in goal would wear it as a Wing, but I still wonder about permanently retiring Ozzie's number in Detroit. Not arguing for or against, but I somehow don't expect that.

So, what else is new, right? I swear, I've seen goalies win games and make spectacular saves and even get a shutout, yet someone will pipe up with "well, the saves weren't really that challenging," or "he only made 18 saves -- that was an easy win." It is never taken into account that half or more of those saves could have been a goal, with anyone else in net. Or that no NHL shutout is actually 'easy'. I missed the game (damned non-hockey watching houseguests), but assume that the three let in were more than compensated by the other 46 pucks he did stop. I am proud that the Wings did their jobs and got one more goal that the other guys. In the long run, that's all that matters. Down the road a bit, all people will remember is being there or seeing Ozzie hit the 400 milestone. Or, at least, that is what should be remembered.

Late to the party (and back on topic), Congrats to Ozzie!! I missed the game, but have watched highlights. Awesome win, to achieve a milestone/honor so deserved.

I hate to hear that anyone has derailed their life with drugs or any other substance/abuse/addiction. I wish him well, and whether or not he comes back to play, hope he finds some peace. I don't hate any player in the NHL (including Pronger, who I detest in so many ways) enough to wish them ill personally. Tell them to lose the whistles when/if you come back, OK, Toots?

hahaha, Jenny! You do stuff like that, too? I promised to make 300 cupcakes for a friend's wedding once. Thank goodness (for my sake) the wedding fell through. I still have 300 foil cupcake liners, however. I wish it would rain here.
