Go to work. We don't usually have slow days, always something to do... that's a good thing, no complaints. shot put or javelin throw?
-
not really, I didn't have any dinner yet. I should make something, I suppose... The person below me is cold.
-
Well, that makes me below average, considerably. Nothing new. Have fun, if stuffin' yourself with stuffin' is in the offing today. Go, Lions!
-
Huh. people didn't believe me last night in the GDT when I said that the Wings has turkey and stuffing for brains and took the night off in anticipation of the holiday. Proof. See article. Yes, I make my own, on the rare, rare occasion that I allow myself to have it. The person below me can make a pie from scratch, filling and all.
-
real thing, if I can manage it. elves or leprechauns?
-
I don't really like football, so I would like to see them play the spoons.
-
Patty Wahhhh... I love all goalies at some level, and much as I hated his arrogant ass, he was fun to watch - and make fun of when the Wings ran him out of his crease!! Clawed Lepew was just... pew~~ run a marathon or climb a mountain?
-
you're so not a freak, Jenny. Glad you found out what was buggin' you. Happy for John Travolta and Kelly Preston, congrats on their new baby boy. awww...
-
Cookies, but I wouldn't turn down a warm, fudge-y brownie with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. Damn. which looks faster... red car or black car?
-
I do, yes. The person below me watched a good movie recently.
-
turkeys on ice. Very fitting. Better luck next game, guys...
-
with the team effort in front of him that we've seen thus far, it wouldn't be anyone's night in net.
-
Oh, it's not just Thanksgiving (US). The pre-holiday/holiday ennui carries over to Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve games, too. It's like they don't clock in for these games at all. Poor goalies.
-
typical pre-holiday Wings road game, I am tellin' ya. Goalie change won't help. Pass the yams, will ya?
-
Only as a way to shake up the Wings... this isn't Howard's fault. He must be scrambling mentally to figure out how he's going to stop pucks with no D and score a couple of goals, right now. I've seen this before. The Wings left their brains in their hockey bags, so they can make a quick exit to the plane and get on with Turkey Day!!
-
wish I could see the puck... it's like the cameraman has the wrong perspective, so all the action is out of frame. huh...
-
Typical lackadaisical holiday Wings road game... I always feel sorry for whichever goalie draws these turkey games, pun intended. Last game, I really felt they would come from behind and win, and they did. Tonight, not feeling that.
-
the feed is hideous tonight, wow. Wish the Wings would go score a goal and make this a 1 goal lead - take some of the wind out of ATL sails.
-
zero help for Howard there. Wonder if the Wings are already dreaming of turkey and stuffing here... seems so.
-
Couldn't happen to a "nicer" guy. What a terrible feeling that must have been to watch that puck drift on down ice into the net for a goal. I love it. Nice stick smashing there at the end, too. LOL~~~~

I am equal opportunity with cranberry sauce. The jelly kind is great on turkey sammiches, and the chunky kind is better with a plate of other food. So, I likey both! Oops!!! Hi, Jenny!!! Outside, please. it always made me vaguely uncomfortable when mom put the stuff inside the bird. Smartees or Nerds?

Run, Johan... run!!! I am not exactly excited about tomorrow, but glad to not be working for a couple of days. I woke up this morning thinking it was about two hours later than it was, so I got here extra-early after rushing around frantically. That was before I noticed that the clock was set wrong. The person below me didn't get groceries and has NO intention of going into a mad-house of a grocery store tonight to buy something for tomorrow. Peanut butter or whatever I have at home will be fine!

Oh, my gosh yes. PF's are big here in weird-old-Austin. same place, in honor of Lance Armstrong, who lives here: Notes: Nothing wrong with stove top stuffing, it's good! The cheesy popcorn and wine combo makes me a bit queasy, however. Go home and don't tell anyone you're leaving, or wait to see if they notice you're gone

Realistic here, which means the latter. I gave up being Pollyanna Sunshine a long time ago. hula hoop or jump rope?

I suspect it's somewhat easier to keep pushing yourself when you experience success. It's a little more difficult to continue to beat one's head against the wall, expecting some modicum of improvement and not getting it. It's difficult to try so hard to do everything "right" and discover that things which work for others... just do not for me. Perhaps I would feel a bit better about the time and sweat equity if it I saw any progress??? Maybe. Otherwise, I can't really draw you an analogy that makes sense, since you are succeeding. I don't think it's a character failing on my part to be discouraged, when nothing I am doing is effective. Didn't say you said I have a character flaw, by the way... I just don't believe there is anything else I can do to make some progress, and it's disheartening. I think that's human. I am glad you've done everything on your own. I admire that. I wish I could say the same, as even with a trainer I am failing. He's a 30 year old man, I am not trying to look like him, by the way. Does that make me weak and foolish for being upset and down about two and half years of sweat and struggle to stay basically the same weight? It would be easier to continue if I saw positive results, like you do. Hard work and dedication doesn't work for all of us, I am here to tell you. I don't have anything more to give, to get better results. I don't have progress to report or any advice for anyone that would be useful. Don't do what I do, since I can't really say it's been a good investment from a lot of angles. Maybe it's time to try something else besides careful diet and working out six days a week, with yard work and other exercise on the day I do not go to the gym? I wish I knew what to do. Besides just not care, I mean. I will never not care.
