    Yes, poor Jimmy. I don't know of any goaltender (aside from Hasek in his prime) who could have done better here tonight.

    me too. They are not trying to lose. No way. I believe they will use this as incentive and work their little butts off all summer, and come back stronger in the Fall.

    we are generous in that regard, giving lots of players on other teams padded stats. I am recording this game in case it ends up being a good finish (in my world, a win). October is a very long time to wait. I hate summer.

    they never struggled in 2001-2002, that I recall. They came out of the gate winning and never looked back. 2008 was a bit more dicey. What I took away from that season was everyone throwing Dom under the bus for his poor play, which matched Ozzie's stats almost exactly. Go figure. Like Dom, I gave zero frks about what anyone thought.

    the last final Wings game of the season I attended was in San Jose. The Wings played maybe 6 or 7 grumpy veterans.. I think they drew the short straws. Dom and Chelios sat in the players' tunnel... Dom in his full kit, but kicked back in a chair with a bag of popcorn in his catching glove. Cheli was in street clothes, and sharing Dom's popcorn. It was 2002. No one cared. Wings lost 6-2. However, you know the rest of that story....

    I learned many years ago to never attend the last game of the season. Players are checked out by then, either because they are a slam dunk in the playoffs race, or because they are not. Either way, final games are horrible.

    I learned many years ago to never attend the last game of the season if the Wings are in the playoffs, 'cause who the frk cares and none of the veterans play and the game is awful If the Wings are not in the playoffs, who the frk cares and half the team mails it in, and it's awful. Do not go to the last game of the season. It is the last game of the season. I will be watching. LGRW!!

    I am incredibly proud of these Wings, win or lose. I wanted them to win so Pens would be sad and feel terrible. I also like winning. One more game and then six months without Wings hockey. I can barely acknowledge this fact.
