The Pink-wins are Red Wings Lite ®. They are not in the same league with the Wings, in so many ways. Too bad, little Canes. Now we'll have to be the ones to send Team Sidney to the links, I guess. *sigh*
-
that's a switch, it's usually Guerin who is the culprit in a dirty play. Canes got nothin' out there tonight. Too bad.
-
no one is allowed to touch the Golden Snidley. I mean, Sidney. Sorry. I keep expecting him to twirl that massive 'stache of his...
-
Is it just me, or are both of these team really slow out there? Or perhaps I am just accustomed to the speed of the Wings...
-
Malkin kneed him in the head, inadvertently I believe...
-
pretty even game, except that the Canes cannot find the twine. Come on, guys... make the Pens work for this!!
-
The Stanley Cup quest is one for grown men to pursue and WIN. If the Hawks and their fans can't take a joke without whining like a bunch of prissy schoolgirls, they certainly don't deserve the Cup. Grow up, binky-suckers.
-
that would be good! Go, Canes!! TPBM is more creeped out by Sid psuedo-stache than by Toews' icky sideburns -- he just looks like a moron. Seriously.
-
"I love you, too, my brother!!" Classic stuff!!
-
He had me at the mouthguard/binkie incident. Mule for Conn Smythe!!
-
Figures they didn't hire him as an ice girl, so ... whatever. Good luck with that, Drips.
-
Cap'n Crunch is the worst... makes the milk all greasy. Don't you mean Skip to my Looooo? Hi, Tonyyyyyyyyyy!!! the person below me is already sick of Sid the Kid and we haven't even started to beat his hiney for him yet.
-
Nah, I didn't like them when I was little, either. They made the milk all funny. Same thing with Cocoa Puffs. The person below me can't get a certain song out of their head today.

Depends on the circumstances, but mostly my halo stays on straight. grilled or fried?
-
Quenneville shouldn't have allowed him on the ice. If anyone is culpable, it's Q. But that's covered in another thread.
-
One of my all time favorites. If you could call a hockey player dancing up ice with the puck beautiful, Fedorov was just that. He took my breath away, when he was on his game. Best of luck, Sergei.
-
Maybe he will have the officials measure Ozzie's goalie stick next game. God, I hope so!!
-
Lately, I would prefer rainy, but since we're in a three year and counting drought, I can't have that... sunny, I guess. Take what you can get. boy or girl?
-
My uncle, Tony. But I am proud of him, too, for his service. He was a hero, as are all of our service men and women. the person below me could use another day in this three day weekend but is happy that this week is only four-day workweek!

I hadn't seen it, P.Marlowe... thanks for reposting. Too funny, I love Mule.

I remember that like yesterday... Hasek was standing there waving his glove and signalling that the net had a hole in it. They went ahead and played another shift, and then said, well, it's too late to recall the goal. Play continued and now it's too late. Sabres and Hasek had waaaay more than their share of wrong calls and bad goals. So do the Wings, even seems to me a bit out of proportion to what other teams are stuck with. San Jose being given a goal off the netting and Needaweiner pushing Dom into the goal with the puck stopped under him -- and that stood as a "goal" as well... no whistles in evidence, of course. The Stars' "goal" was the worst, though. Sometimes a wrong call costs you a game -- but when it costs a team the Stanley Cup, heads should roll over it. JMO. No, I won't ever get over it. Sorry.

+1 Conks has been great for the Wings. Too bad he's probably gone over the summer.
-
Best. post. ever. And RMWGal, I agree. Havlat is made of glass, everybody who has watched hockey for more than a couple of years knows it -- and Q didn't care. Dumb move to put Havsplat back out there, but I think he's really all they had in terms of veteran presence. Desperation + bad coaching = Havlat down again. If Q puts him back out there on Weds., I will know for certain that Quenneville should never coach NHL hockey again.
-
we did get it... or a lot of us did, anyway. Glad Ozzie will be back in, but it was fun to see Conks out there. I am sure he was happy to shut Chicago out.

Double whammy, he's coached in Colorado and St. Louis. What's next? Atlanta?
