I would go with Thomas, personally, but there's strong arguement for Mason. The BJs would certainly not have had the season they did without their Kid in Goal. It will be interesting to see if he has the ability to maintain this level of play consistently in coming years. He might succumb to the Theodore Factor and disappear. I hope not. It's harder than the truly elite ones make it look, to play Vezina calibre hockey season after season. Hence, only a few perform at the level of Wahhh, Brodeur and Hasek.

Mule!! Awesome, I love this one. Mule Monster is indeed the one to watch out for, when the game is on the line. God, I love this team.- 687 replies

The cleaner and more clever, the better. Ellen Degeneres is my favorite comedian, because she is witty and self-deprecating, but mostly because I have never, ever heard her say a mean thing about any other person. She will take a poke at someone, but it's always good natured. TPBM can read Latin

WCQF GAME 4 GDT: Red Wings 6 at Blue Jackets 5
puckloo39 replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Babs will pull Ozzie before he aggravates the injury worse, Conks will shut 'em down for his buddy, Oz, and Hossa will get a hat trick. Conklin will be fine going in "cold" -- I am not worried about the best backup in the league. He can finish this one. We will win this!! -
Congrats to Nick, he deserves it and is the best all-around player. However, I think he may not win, due to the bias and boredom factor -- he's won it "too many" times. I've seen this before, where the most deserving player is passed over for a new face, despite the evidence. It's fine, Nick probably only really wants one trophy this season. Well, maybe two. Another Conn Smythe would be nice, as well.

there is something else to have with f&c? Of course, love malt vinegar. TPBM is starving now like me, and wants fish 'n chips.
-
You need to get up and come over here and clean MY house. I am old and tired, and you are young and have nothing better to do, obviously. TPBM loves oatmeal for brekkies.

Unless there is a Wings game on, not usually. I watch all Wings games, if I can. TPBM mows their own lawn
-
not a fan. I do like devilled eggs, however. TPBM is very tired.

and this one is hysterical-er. Is that a word? The expressions on all of their faces are priceless. Whack-a-mole Commodore is wonderful, too.- 687 replies

Check my screen name. It's never changed since I joined the forum as member 180, if I recall correctly. And I totally agree and admire that you support a player you like, even if others think he sucks. OMG!! We're twins!
-
Gosh. I'm crushed. You really told me, didn't you? For those who don't want to waste time trying to make the case that one of the best to ever play somehow sucked while winning Cups in Detroit: Hockey New article Times article Olympic bound? The great goaltender Dominik Hasek, now 44, is coming out of retirement, but he won't be returning to the NHL. He's going to play for a Czech league. Hasek had the 2010 Vancouver Olympics in mind when he said on Tuesday he was coming out of retirement, according to Reuters.

OMG... how bad does that suck? Sorry, Ozzie... the posts/luck finally ran out. Damn. 3-1 Wings. I hope this doesn't become momentum for game 4. Nah.
-
I am glad they blew that dead before the entire BJ team crushed Ozzie. LOL @ Stuart!!
-
CBJ announcers have become very complimentary of the Wings late in this game. They've acknowledged is that the skilled players on the Wings finishe their checks and hit.
-
I wouldn't worry about it. The Wings are playing smarter than their opponent and making some quality shots, that's all. It is all good!
-
only when it comes to paying bills, but that is because I don't have enough money and have to "rob Peter to pay Paul" sometimes. Where everything else is concerned, I am immediate or ahead of time, always. TPBM uses fabric softener sheets rather than the liquid type.
-
Whatever you say. Ozzie was fine, I never said he wasn't. Where is Cujo nowadays, anyway? edit: JMO, but this wasn't actually intended as a bashing thread, although there is a contingent here who simply can't resist. If those of you who get off on this could try to refrain, it would be nice, for a change. Hasek is coming nowhere near the NHL again (thank God), so if you could leave it alone, those of us who did admire Hasek would enjoy that.
-
Bettman told them not to show Z or Datsyuk again. Johan? LOL~ They've done their best to jinx Ozzie all night. Not working.
-
you may have missed the other games in Columbus vs. the Wings in regular season... they rival this one.
-
According to the BJ announcers, it was a very, very terrible, awful hit... which didn't result in a penalty, so -- what?
-
well, much as I tend to not believe in conspiracy theories, the NHL pays the refs' salaries (I guess) so -- maybe. The Boss Person is in the house, and we can't have poor little Columbus go bye-bye so soon. Not good for the New NHL, and such.
-
I have the BJ feed tonight (pity me?). Can anyone tell whose name they are feebly chanting (derisively, sort of) at the BJ arena?
-
Nice, Danny. 2-0 Wings. I love a last-minute goal -- it's so demoralizing for the other team.
