I would agree with the part about the team needing to step up in some cases. However, even Ozzie (or perhaps only Ozzie) ought to acknowledge that he's been a big part of the problem this season. A goalie who lets in poor quality chances at inopportune times in a game becomes a mental issue for even the best teams. I am glad he's not suicidal and looking for a rope, but on the other hand, he needs to play the way he knows how and not dissemble and say he's fine -- so it must be everyone else who sucks??

Avery is a moron. I used to see players do crap like that in the lowest of the low league here in Austin (CHL). That is perhaps where he really belongs? Thomas handled it very well. Stuck up for himself, and put Avery in his place. The Rangers would do well to let Avery go over the summer, entertainment "value" aside.

I think you're right. edit: This is possible. The Wings lead the league in GFA with 3.64 -- that's almost 4 goals per game. They just have to do that for 16 games in a row and we're good for another Cup.

it does, to me. I am a kinesthetic driver, as well. If I have physically driven to a destination (not riding in the car with someone else driving - that doesn't work), I can forever more drive to it again. If I don't have a map or directions, and my "sense" says turn left, there is a 99% chance that I should have turned right. I am spacially challenged. I believe what this all means is that I was supposed to be a rock star and have someone drive me everywhere I want to go in a limo. TPBM takes vitamins.

I know you're kidding with the chants and more support for Chris. Ozzie's gotten plenty of that this season, and he doesn't seem to be particularly annoyed with his own play, so I am not sure more praise is what is needed. If Ozzie and the team show up, no one can beat them. No one. It's entirely up to the team at this point. Neither goalie has a chance if the defense doesn't step up. People keep saying it's the "same team" out there as last season, but there is clearly not the same chemistry and emotion. The X-factor is missing, and it will probably be the difference. I still believe the Wings can do this. I just don't know that they will.

Um, truthfully, it's the other way around. I get hit on a lot by guys who are half my age, and then have to tell them their mom might not approve of a girlfriend who is older than she is. I was responsible for a photo lab for the US Navy when I was graduate student, and some of the film stock was developed with ammonia. Really. After a few projects, your sinuses were burned completely out, and it wasn't all that bad. However, I nearly killed a few classrooms full of people nearby, as I couldn't tell when the vent hood wasn't working. The vapors are heavy and would gather near the floor, seep under the door and -- instant tear gas!! It was, in a word, horrible. Horrible job. TPBM is pretty sure the toxic world we live in each day is a bad thing.
