I got skipped, so I will answer myself. I prefer ice cream to sherbet. I have already seen a robin and lots of other birdies this Spring. The cardinals are my favorites, they always sound so happy! TPBM knows what it's like to seem invisible to others.
-
you bet I would! Not that I want to be a supermodel (as if), but yes, I would fix a couple of things that life has dealt me in the looks department. TPBM prefers ice cream to sherbet.

Sean Avery sends his love.

No, no... we will win this one. Homie-Conks will hold the fort and the big guns will chip in goals, instead of the Whipping Boyz. 5-2 Wings win it.

I do, actually. They are big but I like my toes, especially. I keep the nails painted pretty so I can wear my cute flipflops. Mostly, I appreciate my feet since they get me where I am going and rarely complain about much, even when I run about in the gym and make them very tired. TPBM likes romaine lettuce better than iceberg lettuce.

Yes, that would be lovely. It's raining a bit here (which we like) and cold (which we don't like). It was 39 this morning. Good number if you're a goalie. Temperature-wise, not so much. At least I got to wear my favorite corduroy pants one more time before summer hits. TPBM lives (and has to drive to work) where traffic makes you want to shoot yourself, or someone else.

That is amazing, and good for you!! wow!! Yes, you bet, on the "fat mentality," my friend. I know that I am not fat anymore, but some days... what I see in the mirror clearly isn't what others see. I am down to a size 6-8 in jeans, but I still see a butt the size of Montana (the state, not Hannah). Realistically, is that true? Well, no. But... butt. You know what I mean? My friends say stop losing. Um, no. I am not done yet. I am down 34 pounds since July '08. Maybe 10 more to go, but it's going much slower now. I am OK with that, since I know I have added muscle, which weighs more. You can't lose without exercise, which I am sure you already know. If I could give advice, and I am no expert... I say hire an expert, if you're really looking to change yourself permanently. The best thing I ever did for my physical and mental health was join a gym, and hire a personal trainer. My trainer is not an extravagance. I am not wealthy. I belong to a bare-bones little neighborhood gym, and my trainer isn't greedy. He's a good man, who likes to see his clients succeed and get fit and feel better. I think I have the best trainer in the world, so I got lucky, maybe. We are a good fit. He loves that I will try my hardest at whatever he asks, even if I look like a dork. I hope you can find something you love as much as I do weight-lifting and the other "tortures" Jason the Trainer has in store for me. My gym has saved my life (or rather, I have saved myself) and it's probably saved my sanity, as well. It's my release and the best part of any given day, usually. It's the place I go to feel good about myself while I make myself better physically. It's all tied together, at least in my tightly-wound little mind. Good luck and congrats on all the great progress you've made. Come back and check in with us, OK? xo, looo

oh, good God, no. My parents were older when they had me (daddy was 50 when I was born, mom was 41). That fact alone makes them basically insane, IMO. Anyway, they were too old and tired to "do it" by the time I figured out what "it" was, I think. TPBM likes cool, rainy days.

Not vegies (anymore), since it's too hot here to raise them decently. My garden in Iowa was gorgeous. Now I "farm" antique roses, which don't mind the heat and drought so much. TPBM prefers cream cheese on their bagel over butter.

you have the best siggy! "In da crease, outta da crease..." LOL~ Go, Homie!!! We need you, baby! Wings score one more than the desert dawgs. And please, don't make that total have to be 9 goals in order to win it.
-
mmm... OK, I guess he kicks ass. TPBM giggles when they say the phrase "conch blowing"... Conks doesn't blow. I think he's been really good this season. Conch blowing

Is Ozzie playing tomorrow night? I hope so, and I hope he gets #300.

Would the Wings be better off had they Pursued Goalie Instead of Hossa
puckloo39 replied to a topic in General
accountability = good thing! Finally, taking some responsibility for the drubbings. The Wings are beating themselves out there, some nights. Come out next game, and play hard, Wings. -

I couldn't agree more with this. It is a rare exception when a goalie can bail out a team, night after night (see avatar, mid-90's edition). Generally, when the team plays well, the goalies look good, too. We don't need another goalie, we need the ones we have to play better, and the whole team to play the way they know how. I think they will do just that when they get Homer, Lilja and Hossa back, especially. -
It all seems vaguely familiar. It was the same last year.

I did that today. I forgot to eat, ran errands and did all the chores, even went to the gym and did a killer workout -- and then realized about 6:00PM, I'd never stopped to eat today. So bad. I didn't eat the fridge, but I did munch on roast chicken at 10:00PM. Too late to eat, but better than starving, I guess. TPBM believes that horoscope signs really do indicate something about a person.

Not a member of the clean plate club, here. I usually divide portions in half at a restaurant (Chinese especially) and box it up before I eat. Two meals!! I never finish stuff I don't like, in particular. I have great control over what I choose to eat, but it's been a lifelong journey to get there. On the other hand, I cannot have certain foods in my house, or I will eat every bit of whatever. That annoys me because it's self-destructive, yet I will do it anyway. Ice cream, gourmet jelly beans, and Doritos (spicy nacho) do not come through my door for that reason. Ever. No control over their seductive lure. TPBM has similar tendencies toward food, and cannot control themselves with certain items. * I don't eat one Girl Scout thin mint cookie. I do "lines" of them... like cocaine, only yummie. Oy.

I know, kiddo. I need a drink before I go back and read the thread to see what happened. Poor Wings, they need an attitude adjustment or something. Not good being blown out twice in the span of one week, regardless of who's "fault" it was. It was the TEAM's fault, I assume.

I haven't even read the GDT and missed the entire game. Boy, am I glad!! But... 8-2, seriously??

The Onion - "Osgood gets to third base with Stanley Cup"

The Onion cracks me up. -
It's 85 here today. I like 60 degree weather, actually. It's... seasonal. TPBM is happy Sunday is daylight savings day (Spring froward!) -- if you do that where you are in the world.

aw... Thoughts and prayers for the Howe family. R.I.P., Mrs. Hockey.

I don't drink much anymore (which is a good thing, given my typical level of stress!), so no. But the concept is fun!! TPBM feels stupid and clueless on a regular basis. I do. How did I get to be so uncool??
-
Save me one and pass the Pepto, DKM! Enjoy! It's Friday~ TPBM has to visit this thread at least once a day, like me.

Kevvie, you are so wonderfully weird. Hence, I like you a lot. Um, no... to answer your question. TPBM loves to do crossword puzzles.
