Cleary's a marked man tonight.... and he couldn't care less. Get 'em, Danny!!! Step on them early, Wings. I like it.
-
you have some serious talent, my friend! Awesome.
-
Absolutely! Loved watching Nancy Pelosi jump out of her seat to applaud every other statement. Joe Biden looked like he was getting tired toward the end. I don't know why I thought Pelosi was so amusing, but she was. The speech was great. TPBM knows how to hang wallpaper.

that is kind of more what I had in mind. Stick with success! If I ever had the opportunity to work for the best place in the world in my profession, they would have to blast me outta there with dynomite.
-
really? I always thought a lot of the posters in that forum. Shows what I know.

Getting better with it, but I still hide the bike shorts with gym shorts. I may never get over my issues with fat mentality, I guess. Speaking of spandex, TPBM thinks speedos on most men should be banned.

An unfortunate interlude, not of his choosing. In his heart, Mac was always a Red Wing. My favorite memories of Mac - besides the many timely goals he potted for us - include his habit of being the last man off the ice, win or lose. I always thought he was "protecting" his team mates. It was like he was making sure they were safely off the ice, so someone couldn't sneak up on them, or something. I found it very endearing then, and still do.

It's a matter of scale. Adversity: "A state of hardship or affliction; misfortune. A calamitous event." You say yourself that the players missing from the lineup in SJ are not top line players. Zubov and Morrow certainly qualify as that. It's all relative, but you don't need to pop in here to tell us that we're wrong for stating what we believe is true. You will find more sympathy for your views here: http://boards.sjsharks.com/

You equate losing JR and Mitchell from your team with Dallas season-long loss of Zubov and their Captain and heart, Morrow, amongst others? Ok, you're a fan of your own team. I get why you don't see the difference.
-
Agreed. I adore Mac, as do many here. But he doesn't have a place on the big club's current roster. I suspect he is just pleased to be involved at all, and grateful for the opportunities and love he's received from the fans and the organization. Mac is always a RedWing to me, no matter what.
-
At the moment? One, maybe none. Turco played really well. No shame on him for that loss. Nabby was good too, Dallas was not giving up, despite missing four or five key players. The poster above who said SJ has faced no adversity this season is dead on, by the way. Let's see how they do, should they have the misfortune of key injuries down the stretch. Not wishing that on any player, believe, but just saying it's a factor.

That's awesome. I love Raffi, and I am glad he wants to be a Red Wing. I think most who play for the Wings realize that it's the best place in the world, if you want to be respected by the organization, and play the game at the highest level. I bet many who leave the organization just for the money are sorry ever after.
-
Steve Ott = goon. Can't stand the guy... the best agitator? Hardly. I miss Zubov, too, almost as much as Dallas does.
-
Conklin for anyone who thinks this guy is a bush league goalie... not so at all. Glad Kenny was smart enough to ****** him up. Ty plays great for us.
-
that really is too bad about Miller. Get better quick, Ryan.
-
ooooh, cool, Kevvie! New houses rock!! I have watched several Star Wars movies but am not a huge fan, other than the first ones with Mark Hammill and Harrison Ford. The later ones... meh. TPBM can make a mean grilled cheese sammich.
-
Finnland, or something Finnish... I forget. Re: the above, one of my favorite Ellen Degeneres quotes has to do with thong underwear. Ellen says, "Why would anyone wear them on purpose? I spend my life trying to keep my underwear from doing that." TPBM has spent a lazy, useless Sunday, and is proud of it!

If the goalie situation doesn't get resolved, perhaps by the players we have to work with, the Wings have to re-sign Mule and Hossa. We'll need the offense.
-
I know Dom was lucky on occasion. He said so himself. I am talking about people who dismiss an entire body of work as "luck." They're out there, believe me. If it was luck, then Dom had more than his share, and fooled everyone into all those Vezinas and back to back Harts. Not arguing with you, Toby. I am far from delusional, however. Show me another player who could pull off the things Dom did, and tell me there was no plan involved. There was. It was just unique to Hasek, that he could do that.
-
QFT So glad there are still some fans here (including you and Toby) who actually understand that, amongst other obvious things about our players. Turco is no Hasek, except in his wildest dreams.
-
Let's hope rookie Howard's bad outing, with possibly the Wings' worst outing of the season in front of him, gave Ozzie some "confidence." I am semi-joking here. I think more of Ozzie than that, honestly.
-
Turco is a very good goalie, at times. That was fun to watch, but I bet he would be the first to tell you that he was lucky and just as surprised as anyone else. And anyone who thinks Hasek got where he did in his career because he was lucky is delusional. He knew exactly what he was doing. It just looked weird because no one else could do it, then or now.
-
Howard takes it like a man he takes his part of the responsibility for last night, even takes the heat for the goal Rafalski and Dats were the biggest part of. They're the big club guys, and they didn't do anything about Bouchard after Hossa handed him the puck. I still believe Jimmy can be an NHL goalie, too. At least one I would like to see on my team.
-
Congrats, Papa Kopay, and thanks for showing up at the game tonight, too.
-
the EN was just perfection. Hand them the puck so they can finish beating the crap out of you, Wings. Poor Jimmy. Sorry you drew this game, kid. Shoulda played Conks.
