me, too. The AD feed is working well, but not in conjunction with this site. It make the forum freeze and run slooooowwww.... or maybe it's just my computer. But it didn't do this the last time NHLN stole a game last week.

aw, I am sorry you weren't able to visit with Homer. I am sure he would have been very nice if you had gotten up the courage, but don't feel too bad. I bet it happens all the time. I think it's perfectly natural to be a little stunned when you see a player in person. I sort of agree that fans shouldn't bother players when they are out in public, but I also believe they expect it. enough already. Ozzie's problem isn't his equipment, or if it is, they need to fire Jim Bedard for not knowing enough to mention it. It's between his ears, if anything. Cheli needs to come back and bolster the D, so the offense doesn't have to produce half a dozen goals per game in order to win.

I think a lot of teams would be happy to have our D, but by their own standards, I don't think they're playing well at all.

Hasek never hid from anything or anyone, at least. He took the responsibility which goes along with being #1, whether he deserved the blame or not. As I said, when the D gets better the G will, too. Maybe Cheli will come back and straighten it all out. <shrug> Who knows??

If Ozzie gets injured because of his equipment, then you have a comparison. Otherwise, no. Hasek was injured. Ozzie seems to be just fine, physically... although it's hard to say, as he declines interviews with the media recently. freep Defense wil just have to get better, and when they do, so will Ozzie, regardless of which pads he has on.

I doubt it, though it's possible. I think the defense is going to have to step up a lot more, if we're going to see the same goalie in Ozzie that we saw last season.

I've been saying that for years about most things, not just hockey players' salaries. Seems that it's coming true, faster than most of us would like. Companies like GM had better not do an "AIG" and buy hockey seats with the bailout they are pursuing as we speak in D.C.

that's a good question. I will not be attending any games this year, much as it pains me to say so. It is simply not affordable. I guess it depends on where the money comes from for the players' salaries, since it's not all from ticket sales.
