    10/22 GDT: Red Wings 4, Blues 3

Blues announcers soooo sad about Mule scoring. Son of a dammit... Poor little Blues. 4-2 Wings, way to get it back, Mule!!

That should not have happened. Conklin didn't deserve that after he's played so well. Wings better wake up!

    LGW Fit Club

you're awesome, Edi, as always!! Keep up the good work!! I bought skinny jeans over the weekend. I tried on a bunch at Nordstrom, and the lady helping said "the ones you're trying are too big, that's why they don't fit right." She was right. I used to wear a size 6, but never expected to again. I am pretty pleased and willing to do whatever it takes to not put the lbs/inches back on. Trainer had me dragging the tire and rim again this afternoon. It's not exactly lady-like, but then no one has ever accused me of being a delicate flower, so who cares? It's a hell of a workout! Woo!! ViB, you're awesome, too! Congrats, my sweat-sister!! Everybody else, keep hittin' it hard. It's a journey, not a destination!

Lilja had appendectomy; Conklin to start tomorrow

I've been waiting for one of you wags to equate Lils and the appendix as equally useless organs, but you didn't! I am so proud. *sniffle* He's been good thus far, and I wish him a very speedy recovery. Happy to see Conklin back tomorrow, too.

    The person below me game...

that's pretty universal right now. Plenty to be worried about... The person below me has wanted to put their fist through their computer screen more than once this morning.

    The person below me game...

I do. And six others. That's nothing compared to some peoples' jersey collection, though. The person below me loves watermelon.

    The person below me game...

yeah, that would be me. Ugly thangs... when I saw Petey Forsberg endorsing them, I was completely convinced I would never own a pair of those things. The person below me goes to Starbucks at least once a week.

    The person below me game...

I own that same drill. And I am a girl. How cool am I? no innie-outie eyelids here, but I can gross my brother out completely by peeling my contact lens off my eyeball. I am not sure why that bothers him, but I can run him out of the room by doing it. The person below me can ice skate. I cannot.

    Wings New Coaching Staff..

Sharks are kicking butt with McLellan behind the bench. They love him there, according to my Shark-fan friends in San Jose. The Sharks do, too, apparently. 5-1-0, with very convincing offensive numbers aside from the 4-0 shutout vs. the Ducks. Do the Wings need coaching that badly? Was McLellan that good??

    The person below me game...

I might be one of the last ten people on Earth who does. Yes, I own a turntable and play vinyl records on it sometimes. Please don't say what's a vinyl record. LOL~ The person below me plays at least one musical instrument.

    The person below me game...

Nope, don't care that much for them, really. The person below me is driving a newer car than mine = 1999 Honda CIVIC - which rocks, still!!

    Giving up too many goals

Of course, we can't all get along here. But there's a first time for everything, I suppose. note to Eva, we can just agree to disagree.

    Giving up too many goals

Jesus. It's a discussion forum. It's my point of view. So, you don't agree with me. So what? Bias and unfairness is part of life, and that is what happened last season. Hasek is too smart to come back to the NHL, by the way. Good for him. I haven't seen one bit of evidence that no other team wants him, or that he's interested. As for Ozzie, he needs to play better. 30th in the league wasn't acceptable last season for the #1, but it is now? That is what the number 1 goalie is supposed to do when his team is out of synch, play better. All I was pointing out is that when Hasek performed the same last season, no one stood up for him aside from me -- and the circumstances were the same. Ozzie gets a pat on the back and excuses. Hasek would have had his head ripped off and handed to him for the same start this season. As a matter of fact, that is exactly what happened last season. I think Ozzie will play better, but in the meanwhile, unless you are totally biased and blind to the facts, there is no way you can say they were treated the same last season. Hasek made a lot of nice saves, but they in no way influenced the bashers in this forum, or the media. Ozzie knows better than anyone that it won't take much (or anything, really) for the masses to turn on him.

    Giving up too many goals

Any team, especially the Red Wings, have the ability on a game by game basis, of making any goalie look really good, or really bad. Still, the goalie has to step up, if the team isn't clicking. I will miss Dom. So will the Red Wings, I believe. But he's gone now, and I am grateful he got the hint and left. Another turn here would not have served him well, even though I believe he was capable of playing well, still. Ozzie has to play better. I will stop short of posting his save percentage (.884) every day, as evidence of that -- unlike posters of yore who did that ad nauseum when Hasek was a Wing. The Wings are giving up too many goals. It is partly an issue with the goalies. Conklin is no slouch. Ozzie needs to wake up. He's made a few nice saves, but he has to make the ones that count, too.

especially since the Wings have already used up their allotted 3 goals in this game. Better than last year, though, when I 'knew' if they scored 2, we were done for the night. Hossa needs to contribute, soon. I love the guy but how long does it take a player of that calibre to get comfy and start producing. Homer, we need a goal, baybee...
