OK, my trainer has gone all "boot camp" on me here. He knows I am game for just about anything, so today we went outside and ran up and down hills near the gym, and then for a special surprise, we dragged a tire around. Seriously. He has a tire, on a rim, with an eyebolt drilled into it, and then we attached a bar to it, with a rope, so we could drag it down the road. It is MUCH harder than it looks, let me tell ya. But when you're done, you know you've done something. I want to do it again. I am either a masochist or maybe I just like the notion that I am actually working to get fit. I was getting bored with the weights and sets anyway, so I am glad he decided to try this workout. I was sceptical that it would actually be as good a work out as the freeweights, etc. Yep. Maybe better. Commando Looo, reporting for duty!! I hear firefighters and cops do this sort of thing (the tire dragging bit, I mean).

I like Avery. He's such a little pisser!! I've "warned" all my Dallas Stars fan buddies, get ready for an interesting ride, with this guy on your team. He's going to love Dallas, with all the plastic and glitz there, and his dear mentor, Hullie. Not so sure Dallas will love him, but it's just metro enough to suit our Seanie.

looo here, voting present!! I can't express how much I have missed these guys. Looking good so far, a couple of missed calls and a ding of the crossbar, but it's early. Ozzie looks fabulous!! How was the banner ceremony? I was at the gym and missed it, but I have it DVR'd (at least I hope that's what I was recording).

Sounds to me like the ceremony will be great motivation for Hossa and Conklin!
