Z for the CS, with Ozzie a close second, I suspect. Six shutouts, breaking records in OT, etc. in 2002, didn't get Hasek a sniff of the Conn Smythe, not that he minded, I suspect. Goalies don't get the credit they deserve in Detroit, because the team is the star... not the 'tender. Why does every thread end up with Hasek bashing somewhere in it? Just curious.

I never said Ozzie didn't play well. I said he got plenty of praise and it's well deserved. You don't need to post an attack on me every time I post, especially since you have no idea what I actually think. You're too busy making up your own reality. Really. You can stop now. Dom stole that game and was the reason they won. Short term memory problems run rampant in this forum. Ozzie and the team have won the winnable games. So did Dom. There is only room for one number one goalie on most teams. We have two. I think Hasek is underappreciated for his continued efforts to be ready, should he be needed, and for saying nothing other than supportive things during his ouster. He is truly happy for Ozzie. He's disapppointed that he doesn't get to play, but has been a rock solid team mate and dedicated player, all season and in the playoffs. Dom = underappreciated and under-rated, all season. That's hockey for you. BTW: Ozzie is not underappreciated or under-rated. Anyone who still thinks that has a severe inferiority complex going on or isn't paying attention. He gets more than enough attention and praise, and all well-deserved. Under-rated on this team: Sammy. Who else?

I can't imagine being Helm or Flip or Huddie right now. Dan Cleary with the Cup. What a dream for him, what a triumph. Dallas Drake doesn't have a Cup, but he sure deserves one. Not much discussion of this sort of thing this year, but what a thrill for him and others on the team (Lilja) who wouldn't have had a chance with their former clubs. Yet another story within the story of the Detroit Red Wings... the best team in the NHL. Hey, Schneider and Bertuzzi... how that golf game coming along?
