Turco learned his stellar tactics from the "best," Ed Belfour. Let him talk, off the ice. He doesn't do a very good job on the ice, since one can't really say his play does his talking for him. They should have kept Mike Smith, but I am of the opinion that Smitty's excellence threatened Turco. Again, just like his mentor, Belfour. Turco can be #1 at the golf course, and that will be payment enough for me.

Ain't that the truth!! AA is a gorgeous arena, even though it's more suited to basketball than hockey. But I loved crappy old Reunion... oh, well. AA does have a magnificent sound system, though, doesn't it? It's not that hot here in Texas. I think the ice will be fine. PS - DallasStars, if you know anyone with a spare ticket, I will be glad to head up I35 and do some research re: the ice!

And Ribiero knows that. So does Ozzie. None of them are angels, they're hockey players and knew exactly what they were doing. I am glad no one got hurt. Moving right along... The Wings won't let this little incident get them off track. However, a little extra spark won't hurt going into game 3, because the Stars fans will out out in force tonight to support their boyz. It's good that the Wings have a little chip on their shoulders going in, and won't take anything for granted.

I think both had a part in this incident, which was just that. Ribiero over-reacted (maybe out of frustration) to something every goalie does, which is impede an opposing skater's progress with a little sleight of stick when they think they can get away with it. If Ozzie appeared to be acting when he hit the deck, it was probably because he was very surprised to have a skater swing a stick at him for something they all know happens every day. Not looking for that reaction, you know? Anyway, Tippett will have a discussion with Ribiero, no doubt. I am sorry Mike did this, mainly because he's redeemed himself in Dallas and really found a niche. He has been great for the Stars. He's better than this, IMO. If the Wings are smart, they will let him know they are watching him, and make him wonder... but do nothing, other than win two more games in Big D. That's the worst thing they could do to Ribiero.

not that it matters, but I didn't think Ozzie "started" it. Ribeiro brushed the end of his stick, skating by. Maybe I didn't have a good angle, or something, but it looked accidental to me. The slash from Ribiero wasn't. Anyway, Ozzie's OK, and the Wings will be aware that Dallas players are capable of this sort of stuff (well, one of them is). If he plays in game 3, Ribiero better have his head on a swivel.

well, Dallas has set the tone for game 3. They play well at home for their crowd, where there are NO tickets available. There won't be an empty seat in the place. The PR thing in Dallas is everyone wear black (premature mourning or trying to look mean?) Wings better be vigilant, and score more than 2. I believe they will need all the tools they own.

hi, kids! I have been watching/listening (painting the kitchen while I still had a little outside light). Wings look a little off, maybe they miss Mule. That sucks, but he will be back when we really need him. Flip looks good tonight. And the Versus announcers sound like the worst Dallas homers on Earth. What is this? Anybody but the Wings?? Oh, btw, did Turco get away with playing the puck in the trapezoid? I had my back turned when he did that.

I love Olie, but don't see him coming to Detroit. We have Ozzie and Howard.
