Now that was a good analysis, and fair. The inability to finish and score when it's needed scares me more than goaltending. When they couldn't put it away with the fourth goal, I knew they were going to lose this one. I share your concern about Kronwall. He's not going to do us any good if he's suspended for the playoffs because of, or injured by, his overly-enthusiatic contributions. With his history of freak injuries, he needs to take it down a notch or two.

actually, only about nine pages of this one is worth reading, but it passes the time.
-
it started early this time (with Datsyuk being boarded, no call) and continued throughout the game. I don't expect things to get any better, personally.
-
yep.
-
that's ridiculous, so back you go, to the ignore list.
-
how many can we have?
-
nice try, Pack. They will be fine, including and especially Dom. Players on the other end of the ice need to finish all those "so close" and "oooh, almost" chances. As sick as people are of Dom being such a loser I am more tired of watching pucks miss the net and hit the posts and beat the other goalie's chest protector to smithereens. No more 1 goal leads. I can't stand it. I knew when they got the third goal and then laid back with literally 17 minutes to go, we were going to lose.
-
I think that was the intention. The execution in real life wasn't all that effective, however.
-
you don't remember? I do. You're right, of course. Now, where did I put that rope...?
-
I am guessing you missed the last game, right? Whatever....
-
Not at all. The third one, he should have had. The fourth one, I defy anyone to show me a goalie who would have stopped that. The Wings allowed countless odd man rushes and made bad turnovers and Hasek bailed them out in the second. Define "the right time" -- he stopped shots in the first and second that would have lost them the game, just sooner. When the entire team melted down in the third, he wasn't able to be the only player out there to fend off a determined Preds team with a head of steam. Couple that with a sloppy lackadaisical effort by the other five guys on the ice in Wings sweaters and you get what we got tonight. Back to blaming!!
-
He will, you're right. He was the reason they won game 2.
-
you answered your own question.

The Wings apparently forgot that it's the playoffs in the third. They've done this all season, tried to sit on a one goal lead. Pathetic effort in the third, despite Datsyuk's heroic goal -- which should have been a catalyst to finish the Preds off. Instead, they were all lulled into their comfort zone of a one-goal lead and tried to skate out the last 17 minutes of the game. Blame Hasek if it makes you happy. For those who live for this situation so you can be "right," remember that the Wings lose when Hasek "loses" -- Perhaps that will temper the joy. If the Wings didn't learn anything from this game, they don't deserve to move on. I, for one, believe we won't see the likes of thisgarbage again. At least we'd better not.

no, he should have been in position and covered the play while the line was changing... simple, simple.... keep it simple!
-
Red Wings can look in the mirror to see who to blame. They knew this was going to be tough, and they coasted in the third... guess they thought Dats' goal was good enough.
-
much simpler to blame the goalie, esp. when it's Hasek. It couldn't possibly have been a defensive breakdown.... oh wait, that's exactly what it was. But like I said, we keep it simple here.

:caution:

LOL! Here comes every Hasek basher in creation... gotta love it. I would say he didn't do it alone, but he did. He was all alone. Great game, Wings.
-
I just realized, I hold my breath for most of the shifts... no wonder I have a headache after every game. Oh, God. I knew it. I can't stand it.... oh, well, at least we still have a one game lead.
-
stop sounding like me.
-
I don't have a very good feeling about this one now. I need a hug. But a goal would suffice.
-
I would say that was the "post of the day" -- crap. Come on, Wings! Too much time left to coast and hope to win.
-
I know. I will make up excuses for pretty much any of them, if they give me any leeway. That was a really bad play by Stuie, even I had to say something. Lord, can we please have some announcers next game who are not partying with the Preds before and after the game? yuck...
-
why not just say that, since that is what happened? They need to not depend on a one goal lead, bad idea, given that someone could turn the puck over at any second in front of Hasek.
