I would have been happy to be bored in person at that game. It certainly showed that Detroit was not terribly interested until the last five minutes. I really do hope they plan to play all 60 minutes in the playoff games, or they won't be playing very long. Watching other teams who have something to prove/fight for (Edmonton, for example) makes me worry that the Wings won't know what hit them, if they draw a determined opponent. By the time they wake up in the third, it will be too late. Here's hoping they find another gear in Round One.

Edmonton is playing like a team that wants to win. I can't wait to see the Wings show up like this in the playoffs. Their recent cruise into mediocrity is depressing me.

he was screened by his own player on the first, and surprised by the second. I am sure he wants it back, but it was a pretty good blast, at any rate. He made at least one game saving stop and about 10 more good chances... despite the BJS piling on him in the crease at every opportunity.

I wanted this win really bad, but I do feel sorry for Pascal. He made one mistake all night and it cost them dearly.
