Steve McCarthy plays for Atlanta. He's not retired. This does my poor heart good, it does. Mac's back! As Draper said, never count this guy out, when he's going to do something, you can count on him. Today would be good, as far as I am concerned, but I think Tuesday (Wings n Hawks) is more likely. PS - Sandy McCarthy is retired, I think. But Darren McCarty isn't.

I have total faith in Mac. He knows what it means to be a Red Wing (and appreciates it) and he knows how to win. I can't wait to see him on the ice. You rock, Mac!!

I will be surprised (and very happy) if he stays. Stuart's whole life is in California. He even made the 'sacrifice' to go to the Kings to get out of Boston. The trade with Sturm and another Shark to Boston for Thornton really traumatized Stuart, who thought he would be a Shark forever, I guess. He knows he's lucky to be a Wing, who wouldn't want to play for Detroit? Dave Lewis even called and told him how fortunate he is. I hope he loves playing in Detroit so much that he is willing to uproot from California and come here for more than the playoffs this season. I fear Stuie may be a rental and that he will flee back to sunny California if there is any opportunity to do so. Hope I am wrong about that.

NHLN is stealing that one, too. I wonder if the wonderful NHLN plans to cherry-pick playoff games, too? If so, I might just lose my mind. What if they steal the finals and there's no other outlet? Life's not fair, and then you die, I guess. Downey: we just need to keep him forever. I love this guy!! Smart, funny, not afraid of anybody... he fits the mold in Detroit. What did we ever do without him?

I found highlights on yahoo.com after trying to get nhl.com highlights to play -- link buffers, but won't play. Gee, why am I not surprised that the video on nhl.com site doesn't work? It was worth scrounging for the clip on yahoo, just to see Datsyuk's second goal.

I have tried everything under the sun to get this to work. It simply does not. For those who are managing, or who came by to tell us they are local and can see, or who have Dish, we are joyful on your behalf. Be prepared to lose the Wings and Blues game broadcast on March 28th, too. Thanks, NHL!

I am soooo beyond angry that Bettman stole this game from me. Hope my friend taped it and will send me a DVD. But glad we won. Too bad about the goal on Dom, he'd have had another shut out. Oh well, the W is fine. And Dallas is still down by a goal, 2-1 Phoenix

thanks! I am on three different scoreboards and was listening to nhl radio. Drives me too nuts to not be able to see, so I quit listening. This site hangs for 10 minutes at a time lately, page cannot be found etc. so, I am scrounging for details that are not delayed by half a period at a time.

is the 2nd over? To make things even more "fun" tonight, this site server goes away for 3 pages of posts at a time. Did the NHL take over management of the server farm, too?
