seriously low-level effort from the Wings tonight, almost a continuation of the slide that was evident in the Wild game on Tuesday. I think it was bound to happen eventually, but they are too good to continue to drop off like this. Here's to a better effort from all on Saturday, right? It is interesting how they tend to play sloppy in front of "bad" teams, isn't it? Some strange hockey pysche that I don't understand, but it sure seems to be a trend with this club.

amen. I was ready to shoot them the other night, when we played the Wild. They literally showed up for the last 6 minutes of the 3rd and in OT. Dom saved their butts for them that game.

you never know! I am not sure why they are so off tonight, but they will certainly be ashamed of this 'effort' and not do it again. Just a bad night all around.

My gut feeling is that Cleary won't try and stick it to the Wings for too much money, but that he will look at the opportunity he's been given to play for the best franchise in the NHL, and will take a reasonable amount to remain a Red Wing. The Wings treat their players with the utmost respect and care, and that alone in today's cut throat world, ought to be worth a lot to anyone. I hope Cleary retires one day (no time soon, obviously!) still wearing a Red Wings jersey.

The Wings showed up in the last 10 minutes of this game, just enough to win it. I'll take it. 55 Fan was at this game. She must be a mess from screaming her head off right now.

I think someone switched the Wings and Wild sweaters, the Wild look more like the Wings than the Wings usually do. Who are those guys out there? And Sammy "fires" one into Backstrom's belly pad. Again. I believe we're about done here.

there goes the Lady Byng, eh? I am more concerned about 1 goal in this game. Unless your goalie can pitch a shutout every game, that won't cut it. Can I say shutout now, since that ain't gonna happen? Wild have never lost when leading by 2, with Backstrom in net. Lovely.

there goes Dats to the box, again. I hope a different attitude comes back out on the ice in Wings sweaters in the 4rd, or it won't matter how many more goals the Wild get.
