pardon us while we don't look surprised by this. Wings can win this, if they stop thinking about All Star break or whatever is distracting them. Maybe since it's only Ottawa and the one-time meeting this season, they aren't concentrating?
-
which leads one to ask, why was Heatley on a breakaway?? hmmm? Huddie could hit Emery as hard as he can, and Emery wouldn't even feel it.
-
I wish I could say I am surprised by the game so far. They've looked bad the last couple of games, but I thought this one would get them going a little. Not yet, so far. Surely they won't allow the Sens beat them in a **** ***. Of course, I thought that on NY's Eve, too.
-
Wings are giving the Sens fans plenty to cheer about.
-
they'll be OK. I think they have a little hangover from the stinker game the other night. Babs will have a word with them during the break.
-
I guess Don Cherry does...and, it's his show. So...
-
Well, that was a sad little perry-odd. Maybe the Wings will come back out fired up and try to win this one. Not what I expected tonight, for sure. Nice job of letting the Sens come right in on goal with less than a minute left, guys. Penalty Ottawa, delay of game, to carry over into the 2nd. SOG 11 Wings, 10 Sens. Numbers do not tell the tale of actual scoring chances, in case you can't see the game.

PP Wings, tripping. I wish the Wings would make use of this PP. never mind: the Wings can't even keep the puck in the zone. wow.
-
Emery hasn't been challenged at all. Yet. Let's go Red Wings!!!
-
Wings look slow and unconcerned tonight. Three SOG so far. Dom's been the difference so far. Hopefully, the guys will get warmed up... Dats got taken out. Ow.
-
the Wings are going to score on this PP. I just know it!!
-
Dom's fiesty tonight (or pissed that his guys are not with it...) Did you see him shove Neil out of the crease? I am sure the Wings know that Ottawa can score at will if they are allowed to. They'll tighten up here in a sec. I hope.
-
LOL @ Dom. Just taking a little rest there. Wish the Wings would wake up... soon would be good.
-
inconceivable. Wings look a tad lost out there, hope they sharpen up soon. 2 SOG thus far (please stay out of the box, boyz) to Ottawa's 6.
-
oh, you're right... didn't he grow up in Nepean, though?
-
much better, now that Detroit D understands that Alfie is a threat. Now, go down there and shake Emery's cage. It doesn't take much to get him off his game.
-
I know, RS. Most of those numbers are from Buffalo, where Dom gave Ottawa nightmares, but that was a long time ago, eh?
-
Born in Nepean, they've always loved him in Ottawa. That was very nice, though.
-
how so? Where did I say Cleary would screen Dom? Wings need to stay out of the box, and D need to watch the Sens #1 line better.
-
screened by Fisher and Cleary. This could be a long night.
-
Is that the truth? Sens couldn't be farther on the other end of the spectrum than Anaheim, classy-wise. Penalty on Kronner. That was quick.
-
hiya! They have the best Canadian anthem singer... Lyndon Slewidge. He's great! I have a hard time getting a hate up for the Sens, I like them. I hope they lose tonight, though. Dom is 24-8-5 with a 1.45 goals-against average, .951 save percentage and six shutouts in 38 career games against the Senators. If the D is clicking tonight, we oughta be OK.
-
awww... nice. They're showing a tribute to Stevie. Must remember to put this one on "never erase" on the DVR.
-
I love Ron McLean.

snuck up on ya, huh? I DVR'd it, just happened to see it when I set the recorder this morning.
