Don't give me any ideas... heh~ Yes, Aussie, they are good. I loved the comment the announcers made earlier, that the Wild need to remember that the fans are on the other side of the glass, and not be star-struck when the Wings are out there. It would be difficult, I think.

Good god almighty!! Cleary!! Wow!! 3-0 Wings (or 4, if you want). Shut 'em down, Dom! Go, Wings!!!
-
Mule, he heard me!! Are they going to review this one because a Red Wing scored it?
-
Lil-jah. One of 'em can say Lilja's name right, the other cannot. Radivojevic, they can say, however. Wings still doing a great job keeping the puck to themselves. But the Wild seem to be ramping up a bit. We really need another goal now, one that they let us keep.
-
Wings are just going to have to just keep the pressure on. NHL wants the "real" Hockeytown, St. Paul, to have a Christmas win, here.
-
Ref kicked the goal onto Lebda's stick. I think they decided that it was illegal, since the ref directed the puck in. But he didn't. I would have gone wide, if Lebda hadn't poked it in. It was a goal.
-
this sucks!!! Dammit. Merry Christmas, Wild. You just got a freakin' present a couple of days early. Who thinks that goal would have been disallowed if it had been the other end of the ice? Blow the f*cking whistle!!! They are determined to get the Wild a goal here. Dominik "I have no middle name" HASEK!!!
-
you have GOT to be kidding me!!! If we lose this game, it's the refs fault, and the NHL hates us.
-
Backstrom attempted a feeble Snowangel of Death... stop channeling the psuedo-Dom, buddy. You ain't very good at it. 2-0 Wings! Why the hell would they review this??
-
me, too, also.... Cheli got a cut (high-stick) face... PP time!!! Wild are shutting them down. Phooey. Gonna have to get in on the net to get one past Backstrom
-
Someone needs to make sure the Wings don't leave their goalie laying around on the ice again. The St. Paul color commentator just said we're heading into the third period. Don't believe her. WIld are coming out firing. Dom stopped 'em.
-
t'is a bad habit, those odd-man rushes, but the Wings seem to be curtailing them fairly well tonight. They've been all over Gaborik, and need to continue that. Cheli was missed last night, he makes an impact every time he's out there. Not sure who the announcers are in St. Paul/ New Hockeytown, but yes, they are ... odd.
-
didn't even make it to page 4. *tsk-tsk* Dats is going to be the difference maker tonight, I think. I hope they get busy during the second and build a nice lead. The Wings have done a great job so far neutralizing Gaborik. Zero shots on goal thus far. Shades of the Wings shutting down Forsberg, eh?
-
ESPN.com now says the same, after briefly listing the the goal as the Wild's.
-
it's less uneven that you'd think from the numbers. Half of Backstrom's saves are stopping the puck when it's winged clear down the ice, or stepping out to grab a puck that would have missed anyway.
-
Dom, BIG save right off the face-off, with seconds left in the first perry-odd. Remember that one later on!
-
don't let 'em in the game, Wings. I hate this last minute of play....
-
so true. The Wild are picking it up here, taking away chances near the net. Wings better capitalize while they can. So far the Wings have just dominated in the first, smothering the Wild
-
Flip and Cleary, I think... not to sure since espn.com says it's Flip's goal at the moment, and it wasn't. But he got it to Dats for sure. announcers in MN called Backstrom's saves on the eventual goal "Hasek-like" -- sorta, I guess. He was laying prone in the goal and trying to grab the puck with his blocker. Keep working on it, Nikki
-
shooting at the goalie's chest. I am so glad to see Cheli back! great job, Wings!! Dats don't need Z or H to get the job done. Not tonight, anyway!!
-
there went a good opportunity. Backstrom was miles outside the net, and the Wings couldn't get the puck in the net. Dang. Hasek's all over the place, he is his own D-man tonight.
-
I think my signature explains one reason (aside from rotating games) the Dom is in tonight. that's good! For every one of you, there are at least a couple who'd take you seriously. I hope WE have a five goal night again!
-
No Z or Homer? That's not good. But I expect Dats and Flip to step up, and Kronner will have a great game, too.

Hiya! The Wings brass are making a big deal out of the goal against Ozzie, having it reviewed by the league, etc... I found that a little unusual, since they didn't do that on others that have happened this year. Maybe because it was a one-goal loss, or because we probably won the other games where it happened. I think the rotation "Red Wings-style", which means "other factors" may apply on occasion, like travel and back-to-backs, so it may not always go in a straight Oz-Dom-Oz-Dom fashion. It wouldn't have surprised me completely to see Ozzie in tonight. I worry a little that somebody's going to take a run at Dom but he'll be ready for it, if they do. I don't care who's in goal, personally, I am not an All Hasek All the Time fan, and am perfectly happy with Ozzie so long as Dom gets a chance, too. Dom has a sterling record against the Wild plus a shut out last time, so it makes sense to put him in tonight. Hope everyone else shows up tonight. I thought in the Boos game, they left Ozzie hanging out there a bit a couple of times. I bet they all play well tonight, so everyone can have a Merry Christmas!
-
Dom is in goal, according to everything I am seeing in game stories for this morning. I might have given ithe game to Ozzie, to make up for the last outing where the Boos swiped the W with player in the crease. But that's happened before this season to Dom, too. It just doesn't seem to count (recalled goal, due to goalie interference) when it's a Wings goalie who gets the goal against. Go figure. Hasek stopped all the pucks last time v. the Wild, don't worry. And Gaborik needs to stop looking at the puck, rather than paying attention to where he's going. Rather than worry about Dom, I would worry that our D doesn't stay with the man this time, preventing the need for "Bowling for Forwards" again. Another factoid: Marian Gaborik recorded the 55th five-plus goal game (42nd player). The last player to do this was former Red Wing Sergei Fedorov, in a 5-4 overtime win over the Capitals on Dec. 26, 2006. Go, Wings!
