Missed the game last night, I was at Stars/Ducks here in Dallas. It was an awesome game. They did a Mike Modano tribute night for him being the highest scoring American player, very touching and nice. Phil Housely (who held the record before) was there and Bret Hull, of course. Stars played badly for 2 periods (loooong pregame ceremony and all) and then decided to win it for Mike. They shut the Ducks down in the third. Way too much fun. Good for Ozzie on the shut out v. Manny. Sound like the Wings decided to play for him, too, last night. No game day thread today, but I am expecting a loss. I am afraid we see the total opposite of the STL game tonight v. Nashville. Big let down, sloppy effort, Wings all sad because they are missing Thanksgiving at home. Dom has had no luck this season at all, so it's a good thing Ozzie is flying high. I hope the Wings prove me wrong. Here's to another 12 save shut out for Dom tonight . Yeah, I said shut out! It will cement him as eighth all time in the NHL. I don't believe I can jinx him anymore than he already is. I thought the same thing. I love how Melrose is an "idiot" until he says something ya'll like. Of course, he's right about Ozzie, but normally Melrose is as unpopular as Hasek is around here. Too funny....

I vote for both of them. Dom got a bad start, some bad games... he will be fine. Ozzie's been great, doing exactly what was needed.

Glad you stopped by! I have emailed and talked to them in person, and they say (at the time, two weeks ago) that there are no plans to add NHLN here in Austin. I think it wouldn't hurt to email them again anyway.

Does Stevie have such aspirations? He is certainly respected enough. Hull is already stepping into management in Dallas, with Armstrong and Lites' departure last week. I wouldn't be surprised to see him take on something more permanent there. Out of all of them, I could see Ron Francis in the GM role, for some reason.

He will play one of the back to backs on 11/21 and 11/22, I am sure. Are you coming back in here when he plays great? Just asking.

I should hope not. I am not the one bashing a player when he's down. There are plenty of others who do that. If someone is frustrated because I am right, then that's different. Edi, it happens all the time. They're not picking on Ozzie by not calling it.
