    Schneids Cracks on Babs

I have tickets to Stars/ Ducks game in Dallas, 11/21, and am looking forward to seeing all the Ex-Wings there. I wish I thought that Dallas was going to beat them...

once again hudler gets screwed over

you have a bit of a point there. We are a little spoiled in that sense... I was talking to a friend in Dallas, who is a Stars "day-one" guy, season ticket holder from 1992 when the franchise moved there. He is certain they will miss the playoffs, 12 games into the season. They're not great, but sitting right at .500, 2 points from last in the west (Phoenix is last). They'd probably love Hudler there. Mule is good, and big. We need him back. Sorry, Jiri...

    Schneids Cracks on Babs

I guess it would matter more to me what Schneider meant to say, or whether he was joking or being sarcastic, or whatever... if I cared. I don't. Gimme Brian Christopher Rafalski, any day!

I imagine more than one player has felt that way about The Coach at one time or another. Get over it, Matty.

    osgood close

OK, I have to say this. Where do people get off saying Osgood is a fluke? Jose Theodore was a fluke. Not Ozzie. The type of consistency Ozzie's shown is proof enough that he's the real deal. Every goalie has let in goals he wants back, and some of them hurt more than others where the emotions of the fans are concerned. So what? It's part of the job. I agree with you, Reem -- and anyone else on that side of the fence.

    Locker ROom Drama

according to the Sens fans I've mentioned this to, Emery has "anger management" issues. He was mad at Eaves about something else, apparently, and took the opportunity to throw a fit at him bec. a puck Eaves shot hit Emery in the head. Who knows it it was intentional and both of them meant to get into it? Hard to say. Emery didn't play very well against Atlanta the next game (4 goals on 19 shots) but managed to win because his offense chipped in 6 goals. As for locker room drama in Detroit, happy to say I don't see any problems there this season.

    11/1 GDT: Red Wings 4, Flames 1

The Flames did everything expected, except win. Kipper is a mediocre goalie, according to LGW standards, BTW, with a .888 sv% and 3.05 GAA. He sucks. I kid, I kid....

Will the layoff help or hinder?

I expect a drop off in play all around, but then again, they could surprise me. Thing is, we are going to lose at some point, and when we do, it's not going to be pretty around here. certainly seems to matter to LGWer's, Vladdy, but you're right, of course.

Well, Dom will be back eventually, but maybe or maybe not next Wednsday... wings corner this morning (freep) Dom wants to play, but it's a coach's decision. Babcock had planned to make the team practice Saturday morning and then have Sunday off, but he joked Thursday night that the players would be spending the five-hour plane ride home trying to talk him out of practicing Saturday. It may well turn out to be an optional practice, with Hasek and the younger skaters taking a go-around. Hasek said he hopes to play Wednesday -- but he'll have to run that by Babcock, first. "He won't be going Wednesday, probably, but he'll go when he goes," Babcock said. so, maybe you will get Ozzie again. The WIngs have been playing exceptionally well in front of him, so perhaps it's best, if that's the case.

I have no doubt Ozzie will earn this mark very soon. He's been great so far this season!

Go, Ozzie... he was stellar tonight! PS - Nolan got 4rd star for 4 SOG, and was a -1. Wouldn't it have made more sense to give it to Dats, who had two assists and was great, again? Just sayin...

a simple type by a poster who meant 3rd, and typed 4rd instead. Took on a life of its own... See Knob and Blueberry Muffin for reference.

Kipper sucks. Oh. wait. He doesn't play for Detroit, so no one's gonna say that about him. He can't help it, it's the Red Wings.

I missed the entire thing, interview and all. Stupid phone call... what did she ask him? stop that. It was Ozzie who gave Z his last black eye, so he just needs to practice more. Or not, in Hank's case...

no, he's not playing. But the paper said he had a good practice and should be fine for Nashville at home, next Wednesday.
