Happens to Dom all the time. Hence the low sv%age. No way to recoup, if you even get one behind you. Also helps when there are not a billion penalties to kill as has been the case in most games so far. The Wings can shoot at will, since it's the Sharks on the PK this game. Like I said, they're not that bad, seems unreal that they will generate nothing tonight.

this is kind of absurd (in a good way...). The Sharks are not this bad of a team, to offer zero challenge, on any level. Nabby's the only reason they are not totally embarrassed tonight.

yes, he did credit Flip. Lils said he was surprised to have so much time, and when asked if he thought about the fact that Nabby is weak on the glove side, he laughed and said, "yeah, right, I am such a goal scorer... " He was just happy to have the chance, I think.

explanation not that it will make any difference to some, but this could be the reason Dom hasn't had the best start this season. Or it could just be the way it is, same as with several other elite NHL goalies looking sub-par in the stats column so far this season, too. Of course, Dom is a Red Wing, so no loss is acceptable or forgiveable, regardless of circumstances.

you seriously think after all Hasek's been through in career that this year's start is effecting him mentally? Caution is the name of the game, here. When we have a stellar goalie in Ozzie and a great backup-backup in Jimmy, why should Dom risk it if he's got a tweaked something-or-other.

It can be awkward, when an opposing player who weighs 40 pounds more than you barrels into you, when you're on your knees in the crease. I expect that's what the problem stems from, although he seemed OK for the rest of the game. Glad we have Ozzie, always there when we need him.

I agree with you. We don't want to get buttonholed into thinking that the Wings can only prosper with a first line of ZDH. As much fun as they are to watch, and as much as they love playing together,they know they can play with other teammates just as well. I am looking forward to getting Mule back, a lot. And Drake without his nasty, yucky old visor which he hates.

Dom got plowed into in the crease last night vs. Canucks. He was bouncing around just fine during the rest of the game, but once the adrenaline wore off, it probably hurt him a bit. Don't shoot the old man yet, he'll be OK - so don't get too excited.

in these low shot total games, it explains a lot about Dom's stats. I promise he's getting credited with every other stop some games. Maybe there are different criteria for what constitutes a save, if you're Dom? SAVE Hasek... he just saved the game right there... I saw it! Luongo will be at least 2nd star in a losing effort... wanna bet?

I swear, you all will think I am crazy, but Hasek isn't getting all the SOG counted... he's made at least 3 stops this period, and the count is still 12. I don't understand...
