sorry, Jiggy... some players get a rep for whining, and it's often deserved. Iginla's one of them. So was Gretzky, so it just goes with the territory and expectations, maybe. Z is not a punk whiner, but you're right, we don't know what's being said. I can only imagine the trash talk out there.

ol' Dom is getting his exercise, sprinting for that bench tonight. Was he correct this time and the call went against the Flames like it was supposed to the last two times?

it's already happened twice in the regular season... he got steamrollered in the crease. I'd be cautious, too, if I were him against a team with nothing to lose right now.

He knew it wasn't behind him... do we know for sure he was looking for the puck, or to make sure someone wasn't going to try and run over him in the crease? Hasek knew where that one was by Iginla.

do these versus announcers know anything at all about hockey? Hasek knew precisely where that puck was. Why do they have to take away credit for a great save by making it seem like it was a happy accident? There are none where Dom is concerned.

I think he is sick of people doubting him, and determined to contribute and shut 'em up. It's a great motivator for certain players. Halleluiah!!!

I thought they looked calm, determined and like a team of veterans, after the first five minutes. Not overconfident, but on their game. I just hope they don't let down at all, just keep doing what they are doing... because I do believe Calgary is not intimidated. They will find some of their game in the second, I expect, so the Wings better stick to the plan = play them consistently, all 60 minutes!!

Wings are doing a good job of playing with energy, but there's no panic or over-reaching. Very nice control now... I hope they can build on this and keep it consistent the whole 60 minutes.
