No point in a new thread. Just thought I would point out the brief tenure of anyone else in the number one spot in GAA. Hasek is at 2.09 GAA Tied for second in shut outs at 7 Third in wins (36), despite having played 15 fewer games than the next contender (Kipper) who has only one more win (37). Tied for 10th in sv% at .910 - he sucks. Dominik Hasek was the winning goaltender in the NHL's only game Monday night (Wings/Ducks 3/26/07). It was the ninth 1-0 victory of Hasek's career, third-most among active goaltenders, behind Martin Brodeur (19) and Ed Belfour (16). It marked his 75th career shut out.

congrats on winning the tickets to this game, Timothy. I don't have to ask if you had fun. I loved seeing the Wings respond the way they did, and that was indeed a playoff-type game last night. I'm encouraged to know the Wings can deliver. No wonder Babcock is happy.

to those who've seen the Ducks play in person at the Joe, do the video guys play "anti-Duck" clips during stoppages/TV breaks? They did in Dallas a couple of weeks back, and it was hilarious... Daffy Duck and Bugs where Daffy shoots himself, etc. They also had a lovely duck call they played when the Ducks took a penalty. Juvenile, yes, but very funny.

I don't know that I love him , but Lilja has a knack for stepping up just enough at just the right time, to keep me hoping he's useful. I am hoping the Wings finally watched enough tape or something to see that they are throwing away opportunities. Good to see them try and pick it up in the stretch, and play like a playoff team. Bert is the man, and so is Schneider. And ok, so it Leeelya.

at the risk of attracting snarky comments from certain people... I would say Dom does know what he's doing. Quality saves, kept it scoreless. Giggy has posts helping him. Nice to see a little passion out there, guys. It makes me feel better that they look like they want to win (I know they want to, always, but it's good to see energy and some passion. I would say Babs lit a fire under more than one of them.

Gigeure was SO lucky on that post goal. These announcers suck beyond belief! I am sorry anyone has to listen to them, and especially so if the viewers don't know they're lame.
