bless his heart, Dom's just weirder than H***, isn't he? That pic was taken in Buffalo in 1998 by an ESPN photographer doing a story on the Sabres. He followed Dom into the showers, so Dom showed him a "save" in the buff. He is the same weight now as he was in 1998-99, 165 pounds. Says it's his "perfect" playing weight. Whatever it takes, right?

Well, he had quite a bit of luck/posts/etc., and a majority of shots that were right in his chest or trapper and clearly seen. Not much of a challenge for a goalie nowadays, I guess, when they see tons of stoppable pucks in practice. I couldn't stop even one of them, but Burke sure should have been able to. He had no chance on the ones that went in, however. edit: can't construct a coherent sentence.

1. Sammy 2. Lebda 3. Willsie per NHL.com, guess they do count scoring chances not just SOG. Burke did make some key stops on a couple, though.

Lebda is the real deal, so is Calder. And thank the lord Center Ice changed from that obnoxious tune they've had on there all season. Ack. I am happy, we won!!

beer is good. Actually, it's sort of a standing joke/reference from earlier in the season when the Wings routinely shot dozens more pucks at the opponent's goalie, and still couldn't score. They're at it again tonight. Seems to be their default position, or something. Re-set, re-boot, do something...

sorry, I forgot the /sarcasm. Burke has seen 50 shots, maybe 4 of them scoring chances for a good goalie. Numbers make you look good, and he looks good in terms of stops.

he's not alone in that, unfortunately, HC. They played much better vs. the Preds on Tuesday, but as someone said, the Wings tend to coast vs. inferior teams with nothing to play for, like LA. Bad trend. They should be capitalizing on this opportunity. That said, bring it, Wings... you have time to fix this!!

Burke is having some luck tonight, along with unfocused Red Wings. Surely the Wings are not going to just let them win tonight, but maybe... Ken was speculating that the Wings don't want to win #1 in the division. I find that hard to believe.
