They're not going to, I don't think. I was cruising through the other games waiting for the Wings to come on, and there was a Pred runnnig San Jose's captain, Marleau. Grier stood up for him. It was refreshing to see, to say the least.

It is the Vez ina tonight. So far, neither one of the goalies has had more than one good save, maybe. That pad save by Ozzie was nice in the first couple of minutes. That's it. Smith is getting lots of looong shots he can see. One save where he had to be sharp, again, maybe. The announcers just said that period was a draw. Yep.

If the playoffs started today, we'd get San Jose. Too bad it wouldn't be the same San Jose that is presently down 2-0 to Nashville.... would you believe San Jose yanked Toskala for 2 goals on 5 shots? Wonder if he is hurt or something?

Is it me, or is Dallas doing a lot of hitting and banging of Red Wings into the boards tonight? I don't usually think of Dallas as particularly physical, but they are making an effort tonight.

Hasek's won both games so far this season vs. Dallas, both times breaking losing streaks to do it. Wings were on a five game losing streak on Nov 27th, and a three game losing streak in October. So one could make the argument that the Wings have a high degree of confidence in Hasek's recent play vs. Dallas. But Ozzie should do fine, too.

I didn't see that, don't have time to cruise all the sites for the latests. Dom sounds like he's ready, too, so we're in good shape again. This will be a nice test for Ozzie tonight. He will he ready-Freddy!! I am watching Ottawa and Florida Panthers while I wait for Center Ice to let me see Wings. Gratton (FL) and Mike Fisher (Sens) got in a real, actual fight! I haven't seen one of those for a while, since I mostly watch the Wings. Oh, and Gerber stopped a puck. Ottawa fans are in shock. Bad looo....

I am not amused, are you, IM? The only player who was a bigger waste of space on the WIngs was Uwe Krupp. Usually. the mere donning of a Wings sweater elevates a player in my mind, but Hatcher is the exception. The Flyers fans who are rating him a solid defenseman must be watching tapes from Dallas. Yes, then. Now? Nope.

I have seats in the same area as yours for the Stars/Ducks next Friday. Needless to say, I would trade you right now. I can't get there from here for a mid week game, with work commitments and such... it's all Bettman's fault, he should know to schedule the Wings on a weekend, so I can go. Yay for Center Ice, for sure! Interesting that the Stars' coach decided not to play Turco tonight. The Wings have his number, and Dallas knows it. Someone posted in here last Fall, that if Turco fell and cracked his head open on the ice, Red Wings would spill out. Let's hope that's true tonight! Let's Go, Red Wings!! The game is being played at the "AA"lamo.

Could be either goalie, I guess. Dom or Ozzie would be fine vs. Dallas (just not Mac, please). Turco's been shaky the last couple of starts, so they say in Dallas. Smith is a pretty good goalie, by the way. Wish I could go to the game, but it's mid-week, and too far to drive, etc. Phooey... don't they know they should put Wings/Stars games on a weekend? I loved Ozzie's comment about him and Dom both coming back, in Helene's column in Freep today: "Sexy tandem back in the saddle in Dallas."

Hasek dittoed their near-readiness. "If needed, I could go tomorrow," he said. "I don't want to say it's great, but definitely I feel progress, and I feel I could go." In all likelihood, Osgood will get the nod. MacDonald has started seven games and has dug himself a 1-5-1 record with a 3.46 goals-against average and .872 save percentage, and the Wings need points to secure first place in the Central Division and thus delay meeting powerhouses Anaheim and San Jose. Plus, Osgood needs to get into a rhythm in case he's needed in the playoffs so there ya go! No GDT yet...
