I have a feeling Wings are coming out blazing and are going to play Red Wings hockey. If they do, we'll prevail. Bert and Lidstrom will both have a big night. Hawks won't be able to contain Datsyuk either, he'll make their top d-men look amateur fools like last game we played them. Good feeling about tonights game.

Lilja is practicing with the team. I'm not ruling out his career. Seems like Wings are still invested in him. That said, I'd rather have Lilja over Lebda, Meech and/or Janik.

Really? Wings are icing, on average, a $35 million - $40 million dollar roster this year and beating other teams that are healhty or nearly healthy $52+ million dollar rosters. If you don't think the adversity the Wings are playing through this year isn't spectacular and down right amazing, then I don't know what to tell you. Wings are playing through it and are STILL a threat (and still in the playoff race), what more do you want with all they've been through this season? Give credit where credit is due! Wings are proving why they are the best in the organization. Bottom line, if Hawks were playing through what Wings are going through, they'd be total suckage. Hell, they'd make Edmonton Oilers look like 1983-84 dynasty. If Wings were healthy, I have no doubt in my mind that they'd be in 1st place and pushing 56+ points right now. I'm f'ing proud of this team!

So we're going to ice a $25 million dollar roster to their $53+ million dollar roster. Wings can still beat them if they play Red Wings hockey.

Maltby is a man who knows how to score goals. He was a 50-goal scorer in juniors.. so he has the capabilities. That said, Ritola gives Babcock another option at center. We lack quality centers right now... and that is an understatement.

Huet sucks. He proved last night why Chicago won't be going deep into the playoffs. 3 goals on like 9 shots. Chicago might be scary if they had goaltending.

Damn, Sharks can score on command. Reminds me of a healthy Red Wings when we would score at will.

Indeed. I'm usually not impressed with Nabokov, but this year he looks rock solid. I think Sharks might be the real deal in the post season. I'm very impressed with the way Sharks are playing this year.

To be fair, Hudler wanted around $3 million and top line minutes. Something Holland couldn't offer at the time. Maybe in 2 years he would like to come back. That said, I think Bertuzzi has been everything and more than we could ever ask of him within his pay scale.

SJ played tonight so Hawks have the advantage. I don't really care who wins as long as it's not a 3-point game.

January is going to be a freaking great month. We're going to be getting a guy back just about every week, and some weeks we'll get two guys back. It's going to be great seeing this team get its players back. Bring on the NEW YEAR!

Teams like L.A. and Chicago isn't successful because of smart drafting, but because they sucked so long to earn mindless picks. So I hope Detroit doesn't have to suck forever to have successful picks. I like the way Wings brass does it now. Find diamonds in the late round. Like Ericsson, Zetterberg, Lidstrom, Franzen and etc... That said, I say they pick best available. Or, like they did 2009 was trade their first rounder for a bunch of late round picks and draft multiple superstars instead of just one. One thing about Wings drafting team, they are by far the most brilliant in the league. That's why Detroit is the best team the past 15 years... and continue with their legacy.

The "Detroit Sucks" chant is kind of a compliment to us. We appriciate the efforts Chi-Hawks fans put into this all because Wings are current NHL dynasty team. It makes us happy because other teams' fans envy our success. It gives me chills just thinking about how great Red Wings are.

I don't know about the D-mac and Abby comparison.. but one thing is for certain, I wouldn't want to play against him. The kid is a f'ing spark plug that hits everything. I know people keep their head up (lesson learned to Kane) when Abs is out there. I'm glad he's a Red Wing!

I must be part of the minority that is excited to see Ritola in the Wing'd wheel during this injury infested opportunity. I doubt either player will be a game changer on Wednesday anyhow. Just nice to give the kid some opportunity to taste the NHL. It'll help remind him what he's working so hard for. Let him have a little nibble of it, it'll do him some good.
