When was the last time a goalie won the calder?
-
Howard is starting to look like an awesome 64th overall pick. The only other goalie that went before Howard was Corey Crawford who was 52nd overall. Howard was Wings' first pick because they traded away the 1st rounder in 2003. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/draft/nhl2003e.html

As I wrote in the Anaheim GDT after we lost to the Ducks, "This loss doesn't bother me if we beat Coyotes and Sharks". Way to go Wings! Feels good to finally get some players back. Can't wait for Kronwall, Ericsson and Franzen. I would say Williams, but I don't want to see Miller get moved.

It seems like the clock should reset to the goal and everything that happen in play after the goal goes null and void. Crazy rules.

My original ID was redwings4life or wingsfan4life, I can't remember now it was a long time ago. In 2004 I made another account, that one was deleted for this one when I deleted my email account

My old email address was getting spammed and deleted it not realizing I can't recover the lost password. So made a new account to support Mr. Miller.

I agree. I've been a member since 2001/2002 here and the personal attacks this year are at an all time high. It's an internet message forum for the love of jeebuz. Some like to argue just to argue even when they have nothing to argue about... and when their argument runs stale and shallow, they resort to personal attacks. It's just the internet. /shrugs

Wow, must have struck a nerve for you to start the personal attacks and flaming. This is an internet message forum bub, nothing to get all shattered and broken up about. Take a deep breath, life will go on... I promise! Personal attacking people on the internet doesn't help prove your point.

Leafs got boned with a lot of bad calls too. One sided game.

He's on the NHL network crying about this and that instead of being a stand up classy guy. Not the kind of guy I would want representing my country. I would be ashamed if I was Canadian, after watching that.
-
'Adult'? He's a senior citizen. The guy next to him had to keep reminding him what he was talking about. Lol. His cheeks were puckering from all the sour grapes. Bottom line, if a person is on television to represent the NHL / hockey, he should be required to show a little class. Lose with a little dignity instead of trying to make excuses.
-
I completely understood what he said. He's an *******. Then he started crying because some Canadian players didn't play. BOO-F'ING-HOO!

What does 'fair weather' fan mean? It appears to still exist today, whatever it is. :poke:

I've been thinking about this for awhile, but it seems the KHL is negatively impacting the NHL to some extent (take Hudler for example). Players have no problems going to the KHL for a bigger pay check, which might be Kovalchuk's intention if he doesn't get his $11.5 million/yr in the NHL. I don't much about the KHL but I think in the next 20 years we're going to see either the NHL/KHL merge or a fall out. What are your thoughts about the KHL effecting the NHL?
-
Right, but isn't the KHL capable of becoming 'better' than the NHL as far as competition goes? btw, is there any NA players in the KHL?

Did Leino fall down while signing autographs?

If Howard plays tomorrow night like last night, then Wings win. -

You're on it Mindfly. Do you have twitter updates or what? -
Osgood has no trade value.
-
Zetterberg should have had a hat trick and +12 yesterday. What are we paying him for?
-
Umm... Where's Bertuzzi?
-
Should Osgood start against the Sharks?
-
Quick question. Isn't shutting down Kings top line a success in itself? After all, Kings big guns didn't score. Oh wait, Howard. nvmind

DiPetro should be healthy for the rest of his career. Wings have absorbed DiPetro's injury curse for 20 life times. Hope he shuts out the Stars.

Clearly this team misses Holmer.
