Great first post. I agree completely. If I'm Holland and I'm at the negotiation table - I use these contracts along with the fact that the cap has dropped to point out that Flip is not a 5mill player. If he still thinks he is that valuable then we ship him out in a package for something of value. The WORST thing Holland can do is start handing out overpaid contracts to players and capstrapping this team. He has done enough with signing veterans with NTCs. -

My bet is he is targetting Gaborik and Bouwmeester/Yandle. Doubt he gets both a top dman and a top forward though. O'Rielly would be great but would have to wait a year.

I think that once he gave a list of teams to Feaster he should have accepted a deal with ANY of them. Whats the point in providing a list if its just one team you really want? Feaster wasted his time dealing with the Bruins if the Pens had any interest similar to the Bruins.

Huskins would likely make waivers but I think White is the top candidate unless people want to pay full price on Quincey. From what I hear the NYR need a PM dman RH shot. White is low risk on the last year of the contract. I'd love to get a 3-5round pick for him.

What a stupid decision. I would prefer to dump Huskins and have him wear #3. 65 is just so meh. Also 6 is available too. -
honestly I'm going to be pretty bummed if Holland doesn't move a piece at least for a pick. We are in a great position to deal with a large number of suitors in the West who have seen our talent as we will move to the East next year.
