I feel like we were better suited to playing against Western conference teams that were less physical in nature. We just seemed to have certain teams' numbers and win. That is not the case in the East where even the last place teams give us a run for our money.

I was nowhere near surprised by what happened tonight. We were LUCKY to get the 2 goals we got in game 1 and we once again showed we can't put offence on the board. Our D is atrocious and without a goalie stealing games we won't keep less than 3 out of our net per game. I had no expectation of winning without making changes and tonight was exactly the result of that. Tampa made some changes to improve and we kept doing the same s*** we do every night. I'm surprised we even have a coach when the same things happen night in and night out without repair. Its getting to the point where I am embarrassed by the product on the ice.

He needs to work out in the offseason with Jagr. That guy is a horse.

This team can't score more than 2 goals on a good night the way Blashill has them playing. The other team is scoring on all their opportunities. There isn't much positive to take from that.

I disagree. Our first line was getting neutralized the entire game and a team without 2 of its top players took care of business against us. We got two soft ones past Bishop which won't happen every night. We need to make some changes to find a way to score more reliably.

I'd take notice of Drouin and give Larkin a chance to respond to that. Classic wings - just throw the same tired product on the ice and say we just need to do a few things better. Not one player expressed frank disappointment in their play in the post-game interviews. Everyone said they were happy with the game and it could have gone the other way. Why aren't we expecting more than this, why don't we go out there trying to destroy our opponents rather than compete with them. At the end of the day we lost - which sucks massively regardless.

Any line with Z and D can't get down ice - neither gets skating down ice fast enough and the play goes side to side. Doesn't matter who you put with them.

Preach brother - I don't remember the last time i EXPECTED to win a playoff game. Probably back in 2013. We need to give up this ridiculous idea of the euro twins and actually play with some speed. That line was terrible tonight because they went horizontal. AA goes vertical and creates chances and draws penalties - blashill is blind if he can't see that or stupid if he chooses to do nothing.

I think the main difference is Mrazek helps the D out the way Bishop does by moving the puck. Both goalies are shaky right now but Mrazek has that edge.

Smith could bring an edge to this game like Abby. The kid has spunk but is always a risk to make a terrible play.

Eh I don't think its going to do much. He should really just be playing the point on the pp and riding wing on the 2nd line with some speed players. His legs don't move anymore when you watch him. The breakouts that Z and dats had all went horizontal bc nobody could get their feet moving up ice.

Z and dats CANT be together anymore. They are liabilities in terms of speed. A line of scrubs with speed can take over shifts against them. Richards, Z, and Dats need to be on different lines and then let it shake out from there. Gone are the days where we could load up a line of big guns and outplay another line with skill when they have no legs. Z - Larkin - Tats AA - Dats - Abby Nyquist - Sheahan - Richards Andersson - Glendening - Helm GREEN - DD/Q Kroner - Marchenko E - reserved for like 12min a game in PK situations and the odd shift.

Green should play 25+min

Convinced AA is more effective out there than Z. Why is this kid riding the bench most of the game? He drew a huge penalty and had a couple great chances. Should be rewarded at this point.
