Gustav Nyquist, Jan Mursak, Darren Helm > Dan Cleary Who honestly is optimistic something is going to happen when Cleary has the puck opposed to the other players? I've been known as a Cleary hater, fair points, but he needs to be pushed out of the lineup. When Helm comes back, and possibly Eaves... Nyquist NEEDS to stay, Abdelkader's presence is needed in the playoffs, Miller has more goals/pts than Cleary with LESS ice time and no PP time. So who do you move? To me the answer is Cleary, I'll be shocked if he's offered a contract. You could also say Holmstrom, but he is needed as a PP specialist especially in the playoffs.

I'll be the first to say it. Holland must be gearing up for a trade for either Nash or Ryan. Most likely Nash, he's probably filling the roster because I'm guessing Filpulla is gone + prospects and picks, maybe kindl too.

Ok Ben, enjoy Cleary next season... I'm sure he'll miss another 20+ games as usual and end up being hurt during the playoffs as usual. He's a waste of a roster spot. We need young, fast, gritty guys. I've been saying this since the loss in 09' and finally it caught up to the wings as I knew it would. Our players are all old vets who've slowed down and won it all. They have no heart or desire, and they just don't care. Z, Pav, Kronwall, Lids, Helm, Eaves, Abdelkader, and Nyquist should be the only guys who are safe. Move Smith up, trade/ get rid of Hudler, Fil, Franzen (if possible), White, Kindl, Cleary (GO AWAY), possibly Miller. I actually had this same post about 3 weeks ago because I saw this coming. Add: Parise, Suter and some gritty, big, bottom 6 players

Just something I find funny. Everyone always gave me s*** about not wanting Cleary back or even on the team. Yet I see all the line pairings everyone has posted for next year and Cleary is off of pretty much all of them.

Hearing Babcock's post game conference I believe that the roster is going to completely change. He said it just isn't working, and he cited the decline the past few years. I'm expecting our team to be great next year with a lot of fresh faces. I think Holland will give in and finally grow some balls in free agency again too.

It's going to be a long series of watching Cleary be stripped of the puck. never come out of the corners 1on1 with the puck, and taking horribly aimed slap shots from the left side by the blue line with no one around to screen. He's so ineffective it isn't funny, and I have a feeling a Dan Cleary turnover may decide a game or two. Even though I absolutely hate him on a cellular level, I admire his heart. But he is just hurting the team, I'd rather see Helm return, Nyquist stay in, and Cleary sit.

Predators don't have the offense to keep up in a 7 game series. They will slump, and Rinne won't be a god all series long. Wings in 6. We have too much talent, and I believe we will wake up come playoff time, especially if we lose game 1. The predators have Mike Fischer, Radulov, and Hornquivst... I'm shaking. Once we find a way to crack Rinne and their defense, it's over. GO WINGS F*ck you Dan Cleary, don't play.

The guy has 33 pts and is being paid like a 2nd liner... he has a few good games? Like what? He has 12 goals... far and few in between probably. Miller has 14 goals and is being paid 2 million less than Cleary, he also gets less ice time. All I'm saying is he's doing more harm than good and people are still protecting him even though he doesn't deserve it. If I'm so wrong they should just sit him - you obviously would agree with this given your stance on him. The loyalty does go too far. I'll let you all know right now what needs to be addressed. Hudler shouldn't be making that much $$ - move Tatar up instead and trade Hudler then. Holmstrom needs to hang them up (Sorry, I liked him but it's time) Draper and Maltby were too slow in doing so. Smith needs to be moved if/when Stuart goes Nyquist needs to be a permanent player and paired with Datsyuk Franzen needs to show some desire next year or some action has to be taken (I doubt anyone would want him with that salary) Cleary needs to be shipped out some how now that his NTC is gone ^ That's what I would do, not everyone has to agree with it, and I'm sure many won't but it's just what I think.
