I'm glad he's improved.. but mostly for the sake of packaging him up in a big trade. But I won't hold my breath.. and am not opposed to him staying in Detroit. Here's to hoping kindl continues to improve.

That's something I would love to see.. the best way to get players to stop would be through coaching imo.

I haven't seen all of the plays that have been fined for diving.. But of the ones I have seen, that always seems to be the case. The "warning dive" so to speak always seems to be weak where as the fined ones seem like they should've been the first warning.. Maybe it's just coincidence. Either way, it needs to stop.

Laaaaame. (Of pulk) Can anyone find video of his warning dive? Just curious. Hopefully he stops it.. nyq has seemed to. And I haven't heard of any fined past their first or second fine. Maybe the system is actually working? Also, do the incidents carry over year after year? I doubt it..?

Still on pace for just over over 20 goals & just under 40 points But in all seriousness, I agree. And he'll be out of said slump sooner rather than later imo. Especially with pav coming back. Also, the contract negotiations may have been weighing on his mind a little bit.. glad he got that potential distraction out of the way early in the season.

Wow, seven years? That's a long contract.. But I have thought of Abby as a future assistant captain. And I think his game will steadily improve over the next few years. I figure Kenny either had to give him an expensive short term contract, or a lot of term. 4.25 will seem like nothing by the time he's nearing the end of that deal. Can't blame the guy for wanting a long term deal.. here's to hoping he keeps honing his game.

I'm not necessarily saying I want him here or not.. but if he's on a team friendly year by year contract, I absolutely do. Which I think is very possible given his time out of the league. Then again it's just as possible that someone throws a bunch of term at him.. He has much more potential than semin imo. But if he came to Detroit, it'd have to be a lower risk, high potential type of move.

After age 35, kovy is allowed back without any vote needed.. coincidentally, that's when his khl contract ends as well. He'll be back.

I don't think it's silly.. I think the majority of wings fans are more excited for that than the off brand winter classic

I agree with getting a solid veteran backup. And signing seems way more likely than trading for one.. who that vet will be would depend on when Jimmy gets dealt. There are no shortage of potential ufa goalies this upcoming off season or the next.

I don't know why but this makes me hope fedorovs number is retired even more. Maybe because it makes me think he really did want to play here again? I don't know. Either way, number retired or not, fedorov will aLways be one of my favorite wings.
