"@DetroitRedWings: The #RedWings agreed to terms with Teemu Pulkkinen on a one-year contract- http://t.co/wqB0ZGdW19http://t.co/TkaPDjotLd"
-
8 million over two years maybe.. 8 per year? What a joke.
-
As much as we obviously always want pav in the lineup, he has seemed to tire out/play injured toward the end of seasons recently.. of course that'll happen with age but a shortened season for him could be a blessing in disguise. I'm thinking Kenny knew it could be worse than reported when signing Richards. We'll need him and a couple others to step up early this coming season.
-
I've heard it on the others but when has anyone called helm useless/easily replaceable? I've heard him called potential trade bait and I think in a decent package he would be but helm is far from useless..

Roboturner, that is a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing I'm sorry for your loss.

benn-seguin-sharp/nichushkin would be a helluva top line. I was upset nichushkin was out most of last season, he has a ton of potential. -
They choked a little early last season #tankit

I'm all for Cleary if he signed below the cap relief cutoff with the intentions of him playing in grand rapids. That could be a nice transition toward eventually coaching and honestly, I'd probably do the same thing if I were in his shoes. I just wonder if Toronto (or any of the youth heavy teams) claims him with that low of a cap hit
-
It fits too.. you can't see him on the ice
-
I know that much.. sorry, I could've been more clear. How does a two-way deal effect his cap hit? Does it not count against the wings cap if he clears waivers and goes to the minors on a two-way deal or is counting against the cap in the minors also age based?
-
I was born at the perfect time (1990).... ignorance is bliss
-
how do two-way deals work? if he signs a two-way does the cap hit not count if he's in the minors? Also, are there limits to how much he could make then?
-
Toronto can have him
-
Honestly, it's strangely refreshing seeing one of the top free agents over play the market. I'd be interested to see which offers he turned down vs what he eventually signs for.. something tells me he wanted more term than teams were willing to offer more so than money.
-
The team signing him being buffalo could have something to do with it.. and the fact that he could've just held out for free agency and then buffalo could've lost a lot for one year of ROR. They had to wow him to get him to stay there long term.. I think he'll play into the contract. Hope I'm right..
-
I want to say over because he certainly has that potential imo but with the amount of forwards on the roster and where he'll likely play, the smart bet would be under.... although probably not by much. I'm guessing he gets in the 10-15 goal range and most are scored the second half of the season.

As much as I'm a fan of Miller on the fourth line (& of course star wars nicknames), I'd really like to see how well a callahan-glendog-ferrero fourth line would play together sometime in the next couple seasons.

signed Red Wings sign D Mike Green (3-years, $18-million)

The wings haven't won a cup without Darren McCarty since 1955 -
Pretty good return for a guy that everyone knew they had to move. Daley is a d man I wouldn't mind on my team.
-
Awesome pretty good raise for both sides & well deserved. Congrats goose!
-
I think he'll get a few games. Probably only if there are injuries that force him into the lineup though. we have a pretty solid fourth line as it is. If he does get up though, he has a chance to stay imo
-
Not sure but he played on the Owen Sound Attack in the OHL last season so probably there again..?
-
Meyer is only 18 and is a work in progress and has admitted it. Defense is a slower development position too.. I'm not suggesting signing him but he's definitely worth having in the pipeline (granted really far down the pipeline) based solely on age and size. Have him work hard and see where he is in a couple years or so. If he doesn't progress, cut ties with him. Low risk, potentially decent reward.

Let's hope Mike Green has this opportunity here as well -
Over/Under for Larkin's time as a Red Wing in 15/16
amato replied to wings4thecup06's topic in General
I think we're taking these "so and so sucks" comments a little too seriously.. they'll all develop just fine, it's the wings organization after all. And I think aa gets less hype than mantha/larkin because Mantha and Larkin have very high expectations for prospects. I'm as excited for aa as I am for anyone else.
