The article I linked to also mentions Nash as a potential trade candidate to free up cap space.. But combine how good the rest of their defense is with how yandle.didn't quite fit in as they had planned and yandle seems more likely. I imagine they'd want a good center prospect in return though.. I don't really know what Detroit would have to offer them but yandle would be a very welcome addition imo.

This article suggests Keith Yandle being traded out of new york.... wonder what it would take to acquire him? I was mostly joking.. I wouldn't be opposed depending on how much we'd give up and/or if they retain some salary. I could see Kenny getting him when his contract is up and he wants another try or two at the cup.

Mantha will be great. Can't wait to see what he can do with a full season. I think breaking his leg set him back a lot more than he thought it would and I imagine that was frustrating for him. That trade Mantha thread, other than media over hyping him being available "for the right deal" or whatever, is more about the potential return a top prospect could net than it is about writing off Mantha. Every player is available "for the right deal."

Don't know if it's been posted and I take most things she says with a grain of salt but, st. James says that the wings will target beleskey. Kane and Towes legacy may be better than D & Z but they wouldn't have as much of one without Keith, Seabrook and the amount of depth Chicago has managed to hang onto.. they're great players, no doubt but they've also played on a deeply talented team. -

Yeah I yelled out at my tv.. I guess he's trying to have at least 1/30 of the nhl fan base like him And I don't really like either of them but it was a pretty classy move for towes to pass the cup to timmonen first -

I was going to say something along these lines too. He really seems like the kind of center the wings would love to have from every aspect other than contract.... which, as dickie noted, he'll hopefully grow into. -

Agreed, he'd like to but I don't know if any one out there will fit the term/money that we should spend on them for the quality we'd be getting back. Franson and Green interest me but only at reasonably priced 2 or 3 year deals and they'll likely want longer term.. I'm sure someone will offer it to them too.
