Tarasenko is an rfa. Yes, he's really good.. no doubt about that. But that'll still work against him and he won't make close to 8 mill. I'm guessing some sort of 2-3 year deal around 5 mill per -
now that I think about it, stafford does seem like a very red wings type of signing. He shouldn't command too much money with his recent down seasons. Are there any rumors of him staying in winn though? I'm sure he'd be a good fit there too.

I would love to see the wings get/develop someone into a wayne simmonds type of player. That would work wonders for this team. If only there were some way we could just trade for him but that's highly doubtful of course. -
Franzen: Poor guy, glad to hear he's doing better. The article also mentions that he'll likely stay on LTIR if he decides to stop playing. I know what you mean to an extent.. I only really like longer cellys like the knee slide in important moments of big games. This definitely fits that.. I love the emotion pulk has shown.

basically, yeah ha. I agree with the notion that this season probably made mantha realize he can't make it to the nhl off talent alone. hopefully he puts a lot of hard work into the off season. -

Maybe he's just trying to prepare our fan base for a trade sending out Mantha in a.package that brings in Phaneuf & JVR -
Yeah, they're over but when their rentals (vermette & timonen) come off the books, they're under again. Plus the cap is raising and there have been a lot of rumors that a guy like Patrick Sharp could get traded. It'd be awesome to get Seabrook, no doubt. But they'll do everything they can to keep him. As long as he wants to continue to be a Blackhawk, he will be next season.

Yeah, trading him after one mediocre season after coming off a broken leg at age 19/20 doesn't sound like the red wings way.. seems like this is more to try to get Mantha working harder in the playoffs and motivating him to work hard this off season. Hopefully he realizes the potential he has. -

That was my thought too but, at least early on, he's looking like a potential steal.. Assuming he keeps developing into a solid power forward. The potential is definitely there.
