Bet he goes way below what he could be worth, turns his act around and becomes a star for whatever team takes that risk. Or ya know, he continues this and does get s*** on his next contract and his career slowly fades away. High risk, high reward imo. Wonder where he ends up.. Maybe Carolina, Edmonton, or Buffalo. Playoff contenders probably stay far away from him.

I thought that originally too.. and I don't disagree that penalizing just the diver would help, but the original penalty should still be enforced imo. It's still a penalty. I think a little harsher of punishment, like a one game suspension after the second or third embellishment, gets the point across more. I just wonder how many players have received warnings. Maybe it's a lot and they've since stopped embellishing. The system could be working; we kind of have no way to tell really. There's nothing really to compare it too since this is the first season that fines have been used.

Agreed. I'm not by any stretch saying that mraz is ready to be a regular starter or anything.. I can't wait for Howie to come back either. I guess I should've said that the wings winning regularly lately make it so Howie doesn't have to rush back. I just hope we don't forget how to put up goals with Jimmy back between the pipes.

It might be cool if they made it a small tournament the way GLI is... Ditch the stadium series games and pick four teams to play two games and have the winners vs each other. Or maybe have the first winter classic tournament somehow be between the original six teams. It might be difficult to have that many outdoor games but hell, they already have 5+ per year.. why not make it one big event? original 6 split into 2 three team divisions, they play 2 games each, then the best records (also have tie breaker rules of course) face each other in the finals. I think that might spice it up a little.. or it might be too long/difficult of an event to actually happen, i don't know.

Surprisingly enough, there has not. I'd like to see that.. I don't like either team at all but I love watching them face each other. I want Philly/Pitt to be a playoff matchup every year.
