assuming they'd want him back(don't see why they wouldn't).... but good point, wonder where he could go to find a straight up starting job though. i think if he wants to play, he's going to have to sign somewhere then earn the spot.

no, i meant nashville's. if nashville's GM thought we could have gotten legwand without giving up at least jarnkrok+, then we probably would have. of course we were going to overpay for the guy though, because the preds didn't have to get rid of him.. -
Wonder if brodeur would be content being a backup/pushing howie for the starting job...?

and, if i recall correctly, shaehan had his back turned to the shooter on the GWG.. they are still rooks but their chemesty is worth the occational mistakes that come with growing pains. IMO you can't split them up.. especially now.

I think legwand looked pretty solid. Give him a few more games to get used to the style of play/constant line shuffling and he'll gel nicely with the team me thinks. Not saying he's our saving grace but he seems to be pretty underrated around here.. I'm not upset with the trade at all. -
In hindsight (after the st. Louis drama), they should have named him captain over Martin earlier this year. Either way, congrats to stammer, he's one of my favorite players as well.

Sorry, pure speculation on my part. I just imagine the generic "prospect" label to trades of this caliber means a top prospect and not just a pretty promising one.. just my opinion, and if that's the case, I'd rather welcome legwand and hold onto Mantha.
