I'm guessing his contract starts next year and he might have had to get the Red Wing's permission to sign it. We weren't going to bring him back so I assume they don't care. Best of luck to him, I always hoped he'd succeed.

Am I the only one who thinks he doesn't get suspended at all? I feel like just being out that game was punishment enough and IMO the fact that it's just a phone hearing and not in person makes it sound less threatening.

I would love to see.. Nyq-Z-Brunner ..but at the same time, he's playing effectively where he is now and maybe that's because of the lines he's matched up against..? I think he'll stay where he is for now and end up in the top 6 most of next season.
