I just said I’d go with Murray because he’s younger and has had success. I get the injury concerns, but I’d go with the much younger starter personally. I can see why someone would agree with the argument for either though. I was mostly just trying to say the penguins deserve some credit for Vegas’ success without calling their move dumb the same way I would some of the other expansion draft moves that have led to Vegas’ success.

Penguins deserve some credit for Vegas’ success too. Not that it was a dumb move, I would’ve protected Murray too. But Fleury is playing some of his best hockey for Vegas.

This. I wanted Gallant here when Florida got rid of him... Also, Fleury is playing out of his mind in most, if not all, of these post season games. Yup. Seemed like a dumb decision at the time, and it only seems worse now...

Hell of a game. It was a little closer than the score but the jets were all over the preds at times and deserve the win for sure. Plus, 3/4 of my conference finals (& my whole final) are correct in my bracket Pretty solid chance to win my pools, so I’m happy.

Hard to imagine Pekka doesn’t want to go in but CBC announcers were talking about how he’s said that he gets in his own head sometimes or something to that effect.. just a rough night for him I guess? and yeah, Saros looks good. Jets should’ve got more shots on him when he first got out there, now he just looks comfortable.

Poor stick position on the first one, but I think the second can be blamed at least a little on the defense. Everyone was just watching Stastny. A little surprised they pulled Rinne. Maybe he pulled himself?

In that you don’t think they’ll trade him? I don’t think they will either, the article is pure speculation on why the author thinks they should.. but if the opportunity presented itself, we’d have to at least see what he’d cost. If that’s not what you mean, can you elaborate?

Count me in on Hamilton! I’d love to get him. Him + 1st pick this year + Cholowski and our defense is probably looking a TON better even just a year or two down the line. What worries me is cost. Assuming Calgary would want something to help them now. Also, they traded a 1st and two 2nds for him iirc and he needed a new contract. Now he’s on a team friendly deal for what he brings imo, so i imagine he’ll cost more than that (or at least as much). AA or Nyquist could interest them, but I’d be curious how much more we’d have to add.

And yeah, now only the first three picks are defense.. If they publish enough versions, maybe they’ll get to say they guessed the wings draft 100% correct

i picked Jets over Bolts in my bracket challenge thing... but it'd be great to see a Jets/Caps cup final. The emotion and crowd would be so intense for both of those teams trying to win a cup.
