I'm thinking they could too. Most anyone good enough to play in the olympics probably could. We'll see where this actually ends up,, -

Betcha players go.. is anyone going to fire Ovi if he goes to play for his country? I'd be willing to bet he could find another job. -
Right?! Seemed like the whole Joe was on their feet for the whole OT and shootout. I got nervous whenever Karlsson got the puck in OT, not gunna lie
-
Nine goals, seven shootout rounds, four octopi, and one hell of a way to say goodbye to the Joe. One of the more exciting games I've been to. LGW!
-
Three more on that last goal alone!
-
We've got octopi! LGW!

What a pass by Svechnikov on that Larkin break!

Last game at the Joe for me personally. Loving it so far. It's more full than I expected. We look good too. Lots of puck control and trying to slow the game down.. looks completely different than the last game I saw. Haven't noticed svechnikov much though. Hopefully they give him more minutes the rest of the game.

I have a feeling this isn't over.. we'll see. It will be interesting to see how the teams look if the NHL players all really don't play. Will AHL, junior leagues, and college players be allowed? What about the ones that have already been drafted? (I'll admit I didn't read the article yet, so I'm sorry if these questions were answered in there). But I wouldn't be surprised if the players ended up being able to play in the end. I'm sure many of them will voice their displeasure. -
woohoo! I'll be there too.. stoked to get to see his first NHL game in person.

It'll be funny to see Tkachuk get lit up for the first time/the aftermath The drama is exciting for sure.. he's the perfect example of the type of player you'd hate to play against and would love on your team.
-
That's so awesome! Congrats
-
this factors into the why.. and weren't they planning on televising the expansion draft? Making the lists public could potentially get more fans to tune into that..
-
haha I have always wanted to do this.... if only lower bowl tickets weren't around at least 300 for any of the games left. also, yeahh it wouldn't quite feel the same with the whole no playoffs and all
-
Finally got some tickets for what will be my last game at the Joe.. Monday against the Sens (by far the cheapest game left ha). It'll be a sad day for sure. But thankful I could find a way to go one last time.

4s if you count the Joe.... 5s if you count datsyuk's career...... it's be a rough year or so all around

First time in my lifetime there hasn't been red wing playoff hockey.. we could see it coming this season obviously, but it still feels weird to think that. The NHLs website got me with a few quotes: link: https://www.nhl.com/news/detroit-red-wings-25-year-playoff-streak-comes-to-an-end/c-288192312 Also it mentions that the Penguins and Blackhawks have the next longest active streaks at 11 and 9 years respectively.. if the pens tied the wings streak, it'd be the same year Crosby turns 44 and Malkin turns 45.. the Hawks would see Kane and Toews turn 45 the same year they'd have to keep it going long enough to tie it. Crazy when you really put it all into perspective.. thanks for the memories that have literally lasted a lifetime so far, Red Wings. Here's to starting another long streak and proving 25 years can happen again. Cheers!
-
Yeah, 1990-91 was the first season of the playoff streak.

NHL.com listing things that didn't exist the last time we missed: "No player in the NHL today was in the NHL then, not even Jaromir Jagr." "Not even jagr" got me good it's a sad day though. They also said; "25 season run may never be seen in NHL again"

Hey I can't let you have allll the fun

Nosek has more goals this season than Sheahan
