I like Larkin getting as much ice time as possible but Nyquist-Sheahan-Tatar hasn't looked good since they were in Grand Rapids.... agree with sitting Sheahan as soon as possible.. hopefully helm/Abby are back soon, sitting Riley and Miller.

In November they beat the capitals, rangers, then capitals three games in a row but yea definitely going to be a tough couple of games. Bobrovsky has been a monster though and they aren't back to back games.. I think they'll do it.

Goalies are streaky.. Howard's been on this season up until injury, mrazeks been mostly off. There have been times where it was opposite. Hopefully mrazek gets and stays hot reallll soon.

Ah gotcha, defense in the top ten.. I'm sure there are less busts, but there are also less drafted in the top ten. Top defensemen are just harder to predict than top forwards. Foote in a wings jersey would be so weird but if he's the best d man available, and there are no "must draft" high end forwards when we pick, we should definitely take him.. we need a top guy too badly. I'm all for drafting all D-men within reason really.. If we were to hit a home run on one, even if the rest of the drafted players are busts, it's a pretty successful draft in my book.

Depends on what you consider a bust..? Peter Mueller (8th) & James Shepherd (9th) were drafted 10 years ago in the top ten and aren't in the league anymore.. their last couple years in the league weren't very good either. Zach Hammill (8th) in 2007 and Nikita Filatov (6th) in 2008 were even bigger busts.. Just a couple examples but I'll agree (as I'm sure anyone would) that it's far less likely to draft a bust in the top ten.. but point is, it's not quite a guarantee that you don't.

I'd second Grand Rapids. Love that city and they have a few pretty awesome breweries (founders, Grand Rapids brewing to name a couple) Griffins games are fun too and, as you've already mentioned, very cheap comparatively. I'd recommend Stella's for food.. they have stuffed burgers and a bunch of classic arcade games. Detroit-wise, make sure you try slow's BBQ.. amazing food. Atwater brewery has pretty good beer imo. I'm a big fan of Nemo's for burgers as well. You could look into schedules at the Fillmore and Saint Andrews hall for when you're in town if concerts are your sort of thing. And as for the troughs.. those are in the concourse level bathrooms. There are upstairs bathrooms these days that are urinals and move a lot faster.

It could've been more positive, sure. But this post was still a lot nicer to read than many of them lately. Sucks that I'm already kind of at a point of cheering for other teams in our division to lose but it is nice that we're not too far out of the division race.

to be honest, i read "A Big Thanks!" and thought this was going to be a sarcastic post with how toxic wings fandom has been this season. This was a refreshing change of pace; thank you for that. and I'll always stick with the wings as well. Cheers!
