I like the Kings, they're my second favorite team since I started watching more around the league hockey around 8-10 years ago (I know, small sample size but whatever, I like their style of play).. And I'm more surprised it took so long than I am that they did it. Hopefully they at least had a civil conversation with the guy but he has been getting worse and worse each year it seems. Kopitar will probably get it after that big contract, but Doughty would be good too.

He definitely sounds worth losing the third round pick. Excited to see this guy develop. And that article that krsmith shared only makes him sound better. Here's to hoping Kenny found a future gem.

But just that there are other factors at play. And those were just a couple examples. Obviously it's bad if any of your first round picks are busts, but my point was just that it wouldn't necessarily kill us to miss on one of three.

Missing with any would be less than ideal for sure but it's not make it or break it.. There are a lot of other factors (free agent signings, trades, mrazeks development to name a few) and even if 2 of the 3 became stars, I think we'll be ok.

Radulov's "KHL money" is currently worth around $4 million USD from what I've read.. And he said its not about the money (don't they all though?). Point is, who knows what kind of money he's looking for/will get until he signs. I think he wants term more so than money.. Just a guess now that he has a child. But I don't think he'll get it. I wouldn't mind him at a year or two prove it type deal.. Agreed that stamkos at 10 mill/7 years is very worth it. Especially giving up nothing to get him. I'd be stoked if we manage it

Right. At least not until right before the expansion draft.. And Dickie, you may be right.. That's just the way I interpreted it. That's one of the flaws of Twitter. I'm sure we'll have more information soon.

This is russo's first year in the ahl though, isn't it? It's Mantha and AAs second pro year. So after next year, Russo would still fall under the "2 year" thing.
