Over rated and over hyped are two very different things. Mantha was over hyped by wings fans when we drafted him (myself included).. He'll be fine in time. I'm excited to see him progress. Hopefully he has a big off season of training and really turns some heads come training camp.

It all depends on Rinne. He definitely has the ability to steal a series. Their defense is no joke either.. I think it'll be a close one but who knows

Yeah I'd definitely prefer it of course but I'm not sure ouelette would be enough.. Maybe enough to get a trade talk started. but if they asked for nyq, Mantha, and a first, I'd be sad to lose those two guys but I think it'd be worth it.

Ok. Minus Larkin, Dekeyser, Mrazek, Athanasaiou (these are just the ones I wouldn't want us trading), do you think we have enough to get a deal done? Any idea what Colorado might want? Help on the wing I'm sure (nyquist/Tatar) plus a prospect/pick combo Think their choice of Tatar/nyq, a first, and Mantha would get it done?

I did say not that we're even close.. But it does seem to be trending that way. And yeahh, agreed. Hopefully it's over sooner rather than later (the getting worse, that is)

That's a good point (and also good news for anyone trying to sign him) about the exchange rate.. I didn't think of that. But I'm pretty sure you become an unrestricted free agent in the NHL after you're 27 years old (no matter how much you've played in the NHL) or have played 7 years.. He's 29, so id think he'd be unrestricted? -
Anyone else think they're slowly inching closer to Toronto media? Not that our media is even close to there but man, they're starting to be annoying at times :x

At this point, I think we take any goal scoring help we can get.. He's been well known to have attitude problems so if he'll sign a one year prove it type deal, do that and trade him at the deadline for a pick if we don't like what we see. Doubt he'll sign for a year though. They seem like extremely different personalities but I wonder if, being Russian, he could convince pav to stay? Seems doubtful but ya never know I guess -
I was joking with the quincey part, hence the But yeah I agree for the most part.. I do feel like it'll have to be a three team trade though. I'm not sure if we have enough that the avs would want for Duchene? Then again I have no clue what their needs are..
