Helm's had a solid game from what I've seen. Edit: Nice setup there for Dats by Helm as I wrote that.

That goal broke Ericsson's feelings. He just collapsed afterwards.

Glad Marchenko stayed in. I don't dislike Kindl or Smith, but having them both on the same pair isn't good. Marchy makes for a better balance.

Since It's Kid's day, can we have the Kid line (Tat-Sheahan-Jurco) back?
  13. PavelValerievichDatsyuk

    Marchenko

I've seen people mention this in discussion. Is it even possible to make such a condition? I don't think so. We can't talk to a player under contract for another team. Can they talk to the player on our behalf? I doubt it. Otherwise, Why didn't the islander do that for the Vanek trade?

    Marchenko

So when Q comes back, would you go with Q-Smith/Kindl or Q-Marchenko? I do think that Marchenko has earned his spot, but due to having too many D we would likely need a trade to keep him. Otherwise we would have to waive Smith or Kindl who both have a year left on their contracts. That would likely lead to a buyout. The problem with that is that neither Kindl or Smith have vastly outplayed the other so who do we waive? I agree about next year with XO and Marchenko, but there's no need to sign a vet #7. We also have Jensen and Sproul who will be out of options. Also, If it's just between Kindl/Smith and some "cheap vet" I'd likely want to keep one of our guys.

That's what I thought, but I watch the highlights and Helm is responsible for the situation. He tries to beat someone in front of Jimmy and loses the puck. Kronwall looks like he recovers for Helm, but then puck hops over his stick.

Neither Pulkkinen or Jimmy are junk. They both have definite value. Not to start up the Buff discussion again, but the guy is a rental. A couple of months of a very good player costs much less than people seem to think around here. It's not the same as trading for someone with a contract.

Funniest, but most incompetent penalty call

I think it's worthy of something else. Not only did he purposefully cross check him in the back of the neck, he also interfered with him in the corner, and he continues with another cross when he's on the ground (and may have also lightly kicked him). To me, that's just unsportsmanlike disregard or disrespect for another player's wellbeing. He obviously thought Crosby went down too easily, but that was a pretty forceful crosscheck and dangerous.

Funniest, but most incompetent penalty call

Crosby was on for the winning goal so he must have come back later in the game. It is shocking to me to see such undisciplined play from a team coached by Tortorella.

Well I disagree. It was a bit of a dangerous pass, but we do those all the time close to the net. It was an easy one to handle. Kronwall had a clear lane around the net. Just let it get over his stick.

You guys are blaming Helm?? He passed it to Kronwall and Kronner lost it.

? Larkin had a few good chances in the 1st. Set up Kronwall for one that he should have scored. also, what are we *******?

Z and Abby are both slumping. Time to switch up that line. I still think Larkin has looked really good.
