Well, remember Dats lost to Tavares in the NHL 13 cover vote too. I think Islanders fans just got bored watching their team play, especially last night.

I'm still wondering what GTA means in this context. I guess you really do need a ride.

They were flat and didn't finish their checks, but they still had a TON of good looks, as usual, they just couldn't finish. If they can get some jump in there step and start finishing I'm not worried at all about how they played.

It was a borderline penalty, but it was still a dangerous play.

I don't agree. If he kept skating, he would have made contact with Howard's stick, which is much better than kicking him in the head. I'm not calling for a suspension, or even a fine, I just think it was a douchebag move and was avoidable.

I thought the contact was pretty incidental last night. I have changed my mind since I have seen how far he dragged his leg out. Why even lift your leg? Just keep skating. F*** Perry!

No matter how you put it, Perry kicked Howard in the face. Do I think he did it on purpose? No, but he didn't try to avoid it either. That could have been A LOT worse. Watch his skate drag across his shoulder and then catch him in the mask. Howard could have been severely hurt on that play. It's the same situation when they call the big goalie interference penalties/suspensions, he may not have done it on purpose and had some defense in his way, but the onus is on the player to avoid the contact. The goalie is helpless. I don't think a suspension is coming or warranted.

Absolutely was. Nervous anxiety all day and almost threw up before going to the game. I can say though, it was one amazing night and I loved every minute of it! On that note, yalls predictions were crazy close.

What a weird year it has been indeed.

I can't handle another playoff beard after 2009. Scritchy scratchy everyday. I am contemplating it though. I have not shaved since Sat morning so it's already filling in. What to do what to do.

I was thinking about taking one to get things amped up for the boys. However, being an away arena, I'm fairly certain I'll get arrested or at least kicked out, so I would have to throw it towards the end of the game, hopefully when they are winning. Although, I'd really love to throw it out early and give them some spark. What do you think? How the hell do I get it in?

I was just loud and proud. I actually behaved myself this time. If I recall correctly, this was in the 3rd when the game was 3-0 and Stars fans were just being moody about their non-existent playoff hopes. Let's just say, one guy told me to have a safe limo ride home....referring to Vladdy, which was WAY over the line to me, but I kept my cool and stayed loud. I'm not scared to stand up and scream LGRW and people are just not used to it there. One guy was saying 'quit yelling in my ear' so I welcomed him to the world of hockey with a louder LGRW! Even other Stars fans were embarrassed with the crap they were saying and laughing at them. They (ushers and apparently PD) didn't say anything to me, they asked a buddy of mine...is he only cheering for the Red Wings? OF COURSE I AM!!!! That would have been a first, getting kicked out for cheering on your team.

Me too. I didn't see what happened to the person who chunked them either. They tried to toss me out for cheering, they most certainly would have arrested me if I threw a pi. I was willing to go down for it though I just never found one big enough. I didn't even get searched when I entered the arena.

Oh man....what a game. Got back into town late last night and I'm still recovering from Sat. If you can believe this, I was almost removed from the game for 'excessive cheering'. Yeah, that's news to me as well. Some ******* told me to have a safe limo trip home. I told him to stay classy. Then he proceeded to ask how many cups we had??? Yeah, confused why that was even a question. Poor Stars' fans, nothing to cheer about that night and they were outnumbered 2-1 in their own home. Great win by the Wings, too bad I had to take my hat home. I wanted some damn curly fries. Bring on the Ducks!!! I also made it on NHL.com, I'm in this photo just to the right of the hot blonde in the beanie in my WC jersey. Unfortunately it wasn't me. I didn't even see the pi after the third goal, I was too busy going ape s***. There was one at the beginning of the game too.
