IMO the logic is, hire dirty players to catch dirty players. Just like they hire cheats in Vegas to catch cheats in Vegas. It makes sense to me... Pronger and Shanahan understand the physical game better than most and know when a player is just being physical or going too far. If they hired a guy like Crosby everyone would have foam wrapped around them, and players would get a game misconduct for inflicting an ouchy to an opposing player.

Dude give some examples. I don't know what you think is heavily censored and what's not. Just saying that it is does no good for any of us. To add something constructive, I think some threads get closed to early. For example, I bumped the Howard = Average thread today - mostly bc I was being a, how did the OP put it? little **** - and that bump understandably got removed. However, had I bumped it for good/healthy reasons I think it should have stayed up. A lot of these threads evolve into interesting discussions even though they may technically be off topic. I guess I'm trying to say maybe let some of those go for a while instead of just saying "this can be talked about somewhere else". It's the ones that are like "Goodbye, I'll be back in the fall" or "Hey its fall, I'm back" that I think should be taken down swifter. They are not legit topics IMO and don't really contribute anything constructive. Also, this is probably never going to happen, but BRING BACK NEGS. It was easier to just not get involved when I knew a poster was already well on one side of the fence or just generally disliked. Lastly, I know I haven't always been the most respectful to you Harold, or some of the other Mods. But I truly respect what you guys do here, and it's why, despite how bad things can get, I haven't bolted for Reddit or HFboards. Mods delete posts just because they disagree with the opinion? I've never experienced this or heard about anyone having this problem ever. Whenever I've had posts disappear it's because I broke the rules. Sometimes I know I'm breaking the rules when I do it too. Sorry mods, sometimes I can't help myself. The rules are pretty clear and we still get away with a lot IMO. I apologize for this afternoons thread lock, but based on how this thread is going I think most can see why that thread went bad. Anyone who has bad things to say about Glendening can eat my jock strap. The guy walked onto the U of M team and rose to captain. Went undrafted but immediately signed by GR. Impressed there, and was signed by the wings, where he immediately made an impact. The guy rises to every occasion, and despite little to no hype, has performed at every level. He is the definition of the type of guy I want on my team.
